Often when contemporary books get into the modern age of swiping they portray characters as super cynical, hook up obsessed (then shame them for it which is dumb), or out of the way cruel. This book did an excellent job of portraying the characters in a very balanced way. Everyone’s thoughts and feeling were genuine and made sense. The conflicts the characters faced are complicated and the solution to these problems is done in a satisfying way with ought feeling like love saved the day. Also the diversity of characters is great the author and the narrators don’t rely on outdated stereotypes to portray the characters everyone is created in a very fleshed out way and I’ve said this a million times but everyone is super realistic and relatable. Definitely worth the buy especially if your looking for something that’s different, will make you think while still being enjoyable.

This book is hilarious like really funny!!! All the characters are so genuine and the author managed to take what is usually an annoying trope and turn it into something genuine and heartfelt. It’s kind of a slow burn but that honestly.makes it better because the relationship feels so much more real.

I think in theory this book could be really cool but once you get into the story you art realizing how toxic Painter and Mel's relationship is. Personally its a no for me if I wanted to see a toxic relationship I would look outside the window.

I was really excited to listen to this but unfortunately was let down. The narrator speaks very quickly and seems to know how to do two voices and to not even know how to do them well. And while the story is interesting the characters make it horrible. Not only is their no redeemable quality in them all the characters are annoying and immature. I suggest saving yourself the credit, money or time and picking another book.

This book starts a little slow and it took a few chapters for the characters to grow on me but the book really gets better as it goes along and their are quite a few humorous scenes! Overall I would recommend.
