Story
Terra is besieged. The outcome of the war lies on a knife edge. The Warmaster Horus’ bloody seven-year crusade has led to this – the cradle of humanity, where he is to kill his father, the Emperor. With the war at this critical juncture, Sanguinius, primarch of the loyalist Blood Angels, braves the horrors of the Warmaster’s flagship, The Vengeful Spirit, with a single purpose in mind – to slay his brother Horus, decapitate the Heresy once and for all, and stop the forces of Chaos from taking Terra.

Good listen butnot the Flesh Tearers I know.
Reviewed: 01-20-23
Not sure if Chris Forrester read the lore for the FT or if GW is taking a extreme and different approach. Or perhaps this novel only speaks for the 4th company. But wow there is so much lore over writing and inconsistency in this story vs. the established lore. They got turned into loyalist world eaters. with constant infighting and being 1mm away from the thirst or rage. It's well written although redundant at times, and you'll hear the word "wrath" a whole lot. The performance was immaculate but, it's not really the Flesh Tearers I know and love..
This book ended up being fantastic in the end. Athough the whole 1st half of the book felt like GW told Forrester to "make them more violent and angry with a bunch of combat filler". Once the FT reach thier destination that is where the story truly begins and will honestly make you forget the whole first half of the book even happened.

Story
After seven long years of conflict, the Horus Heresy nears its end. But now, as the Warmaster Horus marches on Terra to rip his father from the Throne, the seat of the arch-traitor’s power lies empty. Cthonia, a world once dominated by brutal murder-gangs, is occupied by the Emperor’s praetorians—the indomitable Imperial Fists. For the Sons of Horus, this outrage demands a reckoning.

Mike Haspil nails void warfare
Reviewed: 10-09-22
decent filler stories giving inside deep lore but one story stood out in particular by Mr. Mike Haspil. I'm not a huge fan of void warfare and this story had me leaning in to listen closer. it was simply amazing if anything grab this book for that story only
