Story
After a bad breakup, Nola wants nothing to do with Christmas, especially in her quaint hometown of Bright Harbor, Maine. Infuriatingly charming and cheery, Nola’s surroundings only worsen her sour mood. To make matters worse, Caleb, the boy who broke her heart years ago, is all grown up and still living in town. While doing her best to avoid him, Nola bumps into the local mailman, who gives her a mysterious letter. And when she finds that the writer is a fellow Scrooge, she can’t help but feel her spirit lifting.

Cute and quick story
Reviewed: 12-09-24
I enjoyed the letters going back and forth. And had a good laugh over the paint incident at the hardware store. Don’t over analyze it folks, it’s meant to be a cute and quick love story without a lot of psychoanalysis on how they could have done things differently.

Story
Firefighter Levi Bailey is used to being alone. Not that he’s lonely. How could he be, with a band of unruly brothers and their wives and growing families? Maybe he’s the odd man out. The one brother who isn’t destined to be with his soul mate. Besides, he has her. She’s his Juliet, the only woman in the world he can’t ever have. To an outsider, it probably seems crazy. But the Tilikum town feud is no joke—especially now—and Annika Haven is strictly forbidden. Annika Haven never expected to be back in her hometown, let alone as a single mom with two jobs.

Aside from a great love story, this book wraps up the mystery behind the Montgomery treasure. I won’t give anything away, and while you could listen to this book as a standalone, I’d recommend starting at book 1 so that you get the background and build up.

Story
Having grown up the baby sister to four brothers and with a dude for a best friend, I know how to read men like the back of my hand. When I have a sexy make-out session with Beckham, my best friend, all my intuition about men goes out the window. We never thought we would cross that line, but OMG those lips, his scent, his taste—it's all I can think about. Seriously, he could bend me like Beckham, and I would so let him. So when he offers a solution to my sexual drought with S-E-X, I have to consider it. Right?

I’ve enjoyed each one of the books in this series. The narration has been great! This series is filled with lots of fun humor, a large family filled with enough love to share and five HEA’s. I recommend!

Story
I make my living writing romance. I prefer my heroes to remain fictional. But Gus Taylor is better than anything I could have dreamed up. Sexy and funny and dauntingly handsome. My little girl and I have been on our own for a long time and that's how I want to keep it. But Gus Taylor makes me question everything I believe.

I was hoping Gus’ love story would be the last in the series, but alas, no. But not to be disappointed, the high jinx continue and doesn’t disappoint.

Story
I steer clear of relationships, especially the messy ones. I keep things simple, and it works for me. Until I agree to help out Cosette Dubois by pretending to date her. The most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Kind and sweet and smart and talented. Fake boyfriend… no problem. I'm a giver that way. Throw in a crazy ex, a Botox-injected mother who hates me, a snaggletoothed dog who can turn on a dime, and a woman I can't stop thinking about.

Can’t stop laughing at the 🫒 olives
Reviewed: 11-09-24
While some of this story is just going through the usual emotions of a rom-com the “olive” backstory has been laugh out loud hilarious. As has Emma’s mother Estelle and her cooking. This has been a very lovable series. C J Bloom and Vincent Skye have been spot on with the narration and letting the humor shine through.

Story
My first day in Montana, I got into a tug-of-war over a grocery store shopping cart. The most handsome man I’d ever seen broke up the scuffle before he asked me on a date. I was seconds away from accepting but then he told me his name. As an owner of the Haven River Ranch, Jax Haven wasn’t my boss. But he wasn’t not my boss either. Obviously, my only option was to turn him down, scurry away, then pretend like he was a stranger on my first day of work. And obviously, I could never, ever admit that he was my secret crush.

Story
Emma Townsend can sum up her situationship with hot-as-hell romantic red flag Finn Hughes in one word: almost. They almost dated in high school. They almost hooked up after college. They almost took things too far one magical night. Their whole story is one series of “almosts” and “nearlys,” and now they just kind of can’t stand each other. Like, at all. But this weekend, one of their mutuals is getting married...and Emma and Finn will have to pretend they don’t remember how disastrous it was the last time they were in a room together.

This story just keeps senselessly going on and on and on. I regretfully purchased as a daily deal so it’s non refundable. It’s like the author was writing the book using a mad libs book jumping around from one ridiculous idea after another. Purchase at your own risk.

Story
Lark Smith has always had a plan for her life: find a fantastic guy, create a marriage as blissful as her parents’, pop out a couple of kids, and build a rewarding career as an oncologist. Things aren’t going so well. For one, the guy didn’t work out. Theoretically, she’d love to find someone else, but it hasn’t happened. Two, she’s just been transferred out of Oncology for being too emotional. (Is it her fault she’s a weeper?) Three, her parents just split up. Deviating from the plan was … well, not in the plan. A potential solution comes from the foul-tempered surgeon Lorenzo Santini.

On an ordinary Monday morning, Ariel Cafferty's phone buzzes with a disturbing text message. Something’s happened. I need to see you. Meet me under the candelabra tree ASAP. The words would be jarring from anyone, but the sender is the only man she ever loved. And it's been several years since she learned he died. Seeing Drew’s name pop up is heart-stopping. Ariel’s gut says it can’t be real. But she goes to the tree anyway. She has to. Nobody shows.

Story
Someone is stalking Audrey Young. And she has no idea why. Complicating matters is her landlord and new neighbor, Josiah Haven. She doesn’t usually go for the big, surly lumberjack type. But there’s something about that broody man. He intimidates her a little, but she kind of likes it. She could totally handle the mess that is her life, except the strange feeling of being watched is just the beginning. Next thing Audrey knows, she’s a target, and she doesn’t know who’s behind it or why. For Josiah Haven, none of that makes her his problem.

I picked up this book based on a recommendation due to a book I had finished and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the suspense weaved into the storyline as well as the build up of the relationship without a lot of angst, which is my preference. Well worth a credit and I’m looking forward to finishing the series.
