Story
Since you were old enough to hold a job, you've been hoodwinked to believe that wealth can be created by blindly trusting in the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market. I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

There Are Different Lanes, which One are you traveling?
Reviewed: 07-28-24
I loved the breakdown of all of the lanes because I could see myself and others in the descriptions. I was also amazed by the tangible steps that can be made to transform one’s life. This is one of the bests books I’ve ever read!

Great practical ideas about wealth attainment!

I enjoyed how the narrator used stories to reinforce the principle being explained. Some of the stories were short, some longer, but all of them made sense.

The biggest lesson from this book is learning that our minds, once focused and in tune with the universal supply, can experience whatever reality we impress upon our subconscious.

Invest Wisely
Reviewed: 09-23-23
The premise of this book is that it is nearly impossible to predict where the market is going to go. Past performances of mutual fund managers are not reliable. Past performance of stocks don’t tell the story and neither does technical or fundamental analysis. An investors best bet is Low cost index funds, known for their low fees, and minimal turnover. They are a tax efficient way to invest for the long term. Combined with dollar cost averaging and diversification, investing in index funds gives every day investors a fighting chance to meet their investment goals!

Story
Amazon is the fastest company ever to reach $100 billion in sales, and they didn’t reach that landmark by staying in their comfort zone. Risk-taking is the key that unlocked the door to growth at Amazon, but those risks were (and are) intentional, calculated, and strategic. Thomas Edison believed: “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” Like Edison, Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos has also linked experimentation and failure with growth and success.

This book was a phenomenal journey into Amazon’s creation and the vision that catapulted the company to extraordinary heights. What I enjoyed most about this book was Steve’s breakdown of each principle and the direct connection to the philosophy and action incorporated by Amazon. This was a fantastic read!!!
