Mystery keeps you guessing
Reviewed: 01-05-25
The reason I gave 4 is that the audiobook was read by a Virtual voice with no expressions in his voice. It sound like a robot. Boring.
Katy and Brandon went to where her good friend Jesse, who is an Olympic Ice Skater, died from an ice skating accident at Ice Lake. Lots of twists and turns to solve this mystery.

Story
Julie Parker’s kids are her greatest gift. Still, she’s not exactly heartbroken when they ask to skip a big Christmas. Her son, Nick, is taking a belated honeymoon with his bride, Blair, while her daughter, Dana, will purge every reminder of the guy who dumped her. Again. Julie feels practically giddy for one-on-one holiday time with Heath, the (much) younger man she’s secretly dating. But her plans go from cozy to chaotic when Nick and Dana plead for Christmas at the family cabin in memory of their late father, Julie’s ex.

This was a cute version of A Christmas Carol. Her mother and father were her ghosts that helped Alexa get the Christmas spirit back. Alexa lost her Christmas love when her parents died in a car accident on Christmas. It was so nice to that her and Justin began to start a new chapter of their lives.

Detective Josie Quinn lifts the baby from the pram, holding her close and gently soothing her. Josie scours the scene for the sweet little girl’s mother, but the park is deserted. Glancing down, something catches her eye. Nestled amongst the child’s soft pink blankets is a polaroid photo, the corner smudged with blood. The search for Cleo Tate has Josie and her team in a chokehold; the abandoned newborn needs her mother, and every second counts now lab results show the blood belongs to her. The blurred photo of a body of water is Josie’s only lead. But what does it mean?

Please if you are triggered by abuse read with caution. Didn’t realize when I started reading that I would be going through so many emotions. Lily had two great friendships in her life. Atlas was the homeless boy that lived in vacant house next door. Rile was her employee, Elise’s brother that she had met on a roof top the day of her father’s funeral. Lily is a strong, brave, and courageous by making the right decisions for her life. Colleen Hoover did a great job writing this book to represent what happened in her life.
