Story
Jen Hatmaker believes backbone is the birthright of every woman. Women have been demonstrating resiliency and resolve since forever. They have incredibly strong shoulders to bear loss, hope, grief, and vision. But somehow women have gotten the message that pain and failure mean they must be doing things wrong, that they messed up the rules or tricks for a seamless life.

Delightful!

Though much of the book relates to being married with kids and living in Texas (me: unmarried, no kids, living in Arizona) I still felt I could relate to so much if this book and was thoroughly entertained, encouraged and inspired. This is one where I’m certain the audiobook experience far exceeds the paperback; hearing these words with all the accents and emphasis was a delight.

Story
From breakout stand-up comedian Iliza Shlesinger comes a subversively funny collection of essays and observations on a confident woman's approach to friendship, singlehood, and relationships. "Girl Logic" is Iliza's term for the way women obsess over details and situations that men don't necessarily even notice. She describes it as a characteristically female way of thinking that appears to be contradictory and circuitous but is actually a complicated and highly evolved way of looking at the world.

Finished in two days. The audiobook is the way to go, due to the added bonus of multiple accents (Long Island, girls in general, cavemen boys, Blanche, robotic how-to voice..etc). Content that is relatable and laugh out loud funny. No dull moments. Loved it.
