Story
From the moment MacKayla Lane arrived in Dublin to hunt her sister’s murderer, she’s had to fight one dangerous battle after the next: to survive, to secure power, to keep her city safe, to protect the people she loves. Now, as High Queen of the Fae, Mac faces her greatest challenge yet: ruling the very race she was born to hunt and kill - a race that wants her dead yesterday, so they can put a pure-blooded Fae queen on the throne. But challenges with her subjects are the least of her concerns when an ancient, deadly foe resurfaces.

Typical Plot -- Though Interesting
Reviewed: 04-15-18
Fine, Every Dan Brown book has the same plot. Langdon, an attractive woman , time frame - one day, no romance, and social awkwardness. His books are usually packed with codes where Langdon and his memory are able to unravel just one step ahead of being killed. This book is that.
This book is a little different in this plot is relevant to today and issues that we face as a race rather than the hunt for some ancient artifact. It starts out really slow, so you have to make it though the first two hours of listening, but then you'll be swept up. I giver it a thumbs up.

Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Fascinating and unexpected

I expected the book to be interesting, a dry stroll through the millennia to to understand another perspective on the development of modern man. What I didn't expect was a rational, well thought out and plausible explanation for wealth, religion and nationalism. I didn't expect an explanation of why it extremely difficult to change perspectives. And, I certainly didn't expect the idea of story in our collective culture or the leverage of cooperation. This book is a great listen and it will provoke you thinking. There are many thinks in this book that will depress you, but also to enlighten. Well done!

Jo Reed watched two of her sisters marry the men her father sent to help them on the family ranch, so when Hunter arrives, she's ready for him. She doesn't want a husband; she wants a house of her own where she can call the shots - and if the Navy SEAL wants to stay, he'd better build it to her specifications. More to the point, he'd better stop kissing her.

Each of the these novels is unique and interesting. This one is about Joe, the youngest daughter. She is in touch with the animals. The common thread in this book is loyalty. The message is a bit on the nose, but the sweetness of the book makes up for Seaton bludgeoning the message. That's the only negative. Audible has put up book four. Say alert. I give it a thumbs up.

This is a great resource for someone leaning the art of questioning. For someone who has done a great deal of customer interaction, there is nothing in this book to help you. Its a good codification of lessons of hard knocks.
I would recommend getting the paperback. Also, the book would have benefited from a PDF that summarizes all the areas and question types. It's okay for early career people, but the grizzled veteran should pass.

Story
Combining the authors' personal weight-loss stories with their passion for economics, this bold new behavioral approach to dieting recommends micro habits and meta-rules that will enable dieters to control their impulses to overeat, approach food in a healthier way, and lose weight once and for all. Chris Payne and Rob Barnett are two formerly obese economists who met while working at Bloomberg. When they finally decided to do something about it, they lost weight by applying what they know best - economics - to their waistlines.

Not substantive - Hard pass
Reviewed: 01-22-18
The authors write of weight loss from an economist point of view. I found this approach to be uninspired and superficial. They uncover nothing new and rehash mainly things that have been said over and over. If you are going to do a book like this, there has to be something new and insightful -- that did not occur in this book. I give this book a hard pass.

This third book in the trilogy delivers. Hunter pulls everything together and explains it all. You will find more romance and sweet moments in this book which makes that past 22 hours or listening worth the investment.
In retrospect, I like the plot and the characters. The characters are interesting and each have their complexities which drive the emotional impact. If your like romance woven into an action story, and like super natural, you will love this series. I give this series a big thumbs up.

Searching ... Searching and Searching
Reviewed: 01-22-18
This is the second installment in the trilogy. This book is summed up by, you guessed it, searching. It is not really a cliff hanger as you know what is going to happen. It's really about the frustration you feel about getting what you want to happen to happen.
This has a very low romance content and is all about drama and twists and turns of the plot. This book is about the background information of the plot. It is good. The middle book of trilogy are usually all about setup. You certainly can make that statement about this work. That said, it is a strong second book. Let's get to the third and last.

Wow!
Reviewed: 01-22-18
This is a drama romance story. This is not your traditional romance story, it has a very strong drama plot with lots of suspense. It is set with a supernatural theme. Ava is the central character who is unaware of her unique history and associated powers. Malachi is a member of a race of angle descendants. He is drawn to her for some reason.
This novel open slowly as Ava and Malachi discover each other. Ava learns a little about her background. Yet, there are many clues in book one to unresolved issues. This is a trilogy. t, so don't expect a great deal of resolution. Also, there is tragedy, be prepared for the roller coaster.
Webber does a great job narrating. Hunter introduces many characters, it's challenging to keep track at first, but over time it smooths out and the story keeps you straight. This is heavy on action and drama preferring it overt sex scenes. I really liked this novel, thumbs up. On to book 2.

Saddie, the gardener of the sisters, has lost her connection to the land. That is, until Connor Reid shows up. I like this novel because Seton did a nice job giving Connor some flaws and character issues he must overcome. Her characterization of the sisters is a strong point for this series. I am not particularly fond of "The General". A little more color on him would be good.
This story has a touch of mysticism, but is far from paranormal. King is a great narrator. I am awaiting the third book.
