This was a great book for this time of the year. Xander was not just grumpy but he was also kinda of grinch as well. While Bailey loves the holidays and even plays Christmas music in the confectionery. Since Xander is all about numbers, any part of the conglomerate that is in the red has to go. The confectionary is one of those businesses. I loved the banter between Xander and Bailey, and of course the grandmothers and their lilac. I am beyond ready to see what Zachary is about to get into in the next books as well.

Umm. Uhh. I have no words. I stayed up until 3am because I couldn’t stop. I am still processing, but I don’t want to give anything away. I am stunned. Kinda happy? Maybe? I mean Auren… Rip… Midas… The Wrath… King Rot… So many things, so much happened. I just…. Need Glow. That is all I can say. I want to read Glow right now.

I missed the Landry crew a little bit. Sure, they were there, but not as much as when we are on the bayou. However, Torin made up for it. I am so glad we are getting more of the O’Grady siblings and even their bodyguards. I can’t wait for Johan’s book tbh. Torin and Abi just clicked. Abi was always the quiet Landry, more likely to be reading or farming rather than playing on the bayou with her cousins. So how will the shy Landry ever be able to play Princess to Torin’s prince?

I love this idea. A bookstore and tattoo shop in one? Such a good idea. Emmie is back in town to sell her grandmother’s bookshop but has second thoughts. When she decides to keep it open and idea takes root about letting the tattoo artist that gets kicked out of the shop he works at right in front of her open his own shop in her store. There was a few times I wanted to knock Ox upside the head, but he got with the picture.

Poor Adam! He has gone to hell and back so many times. My heart breaks for him. I also feel like a big thing in this book I should have known because of reading the Aspen Pack Series first, but I either forgot or it didn’t register. Bay fits in perfectly with the pack. I really need to get all caught up o these books so I can reread the Aspen pack.

If you could see the text messages while I read this book. My mind is blown. I never saw that coming… How did I not see that coming? I am shocked…. I hate Midas. I hate Malina. I want to shake Auren. I don’t even know where to start when it comes to Rip. I don’t know how to process what just happened. I really don’t. All I know is I need to read Gleam ASAP!

How do I always manage to start on book two? Imma have to go back and read the first one because this one was so good. Salem is running from her past, and Jud seems to be everything she should run from, but he is instantly protective of her. The plot twists in this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I was not expecting anything that happened.

Stevie is heartbroken after moving to be with her boyfriend only to catch him cheating. Now she is staying in her brother’s apartment and having to face her ex every day at work. She also has a very grumpy neighbor who hates her on site while wearing amusing underwear. Bishop s not a fan of RJ so when a woman appears in his apartment he thinks the worst. Bishop was a complete jerk but it worked for him. Plus Stevie didn’t take his crap. I am really loving this series so far and hope King’s book is next.

Oh do I love when Doona Grant gives us an enemies to lovers. Arya we meet when she helped Ravi and Yasmin in book one. Now she is back for her own book. Arya and Jai have history, and I mean HISTORY. Their story was amazing with all the twists and turns. As usual with any book in this universe, I am left with even more questions… about one character in particular, but I will just have to wait for the next one. I didn’t think I would like the elves as much (I am a Dragon King girlie) but I have enjoyed these two so far.

Kingston and Claire were just prefect. Obviously we know Kingston from the other Montgomery books, and we meet Claire in His Second Chance since she is Phoebe’s best friend. Kingston and Claire are still dealing with the effects of events from the last few books as well as their feelings. I love all these books so much. The way Carrie Ann Ryan writes hooks me in and I don’t want to leave. I also love the way she ties the next book into the current one, because I always leaves me so excited.
