Story
Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson ( Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to anyone struggling with finding faith and/or trusting in their higher power during difficult times. It"s like a therapy session or in my case a quick reminder or pep talk to keep my faith and know that everything will work out the way it"s supposed to and not to give up and throw in the towel. Very helpful.

Story
What is the meantime? According to author and inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant, being in the "meantime" means being in a state of limbo. Rather than wallow in confusion, Vanzant encourages you to use the meantime to prepare yourself for true love. The first order of business is to clean house. Room by room, Vanzant takes you through a metaphorical cleaning of the soul. This way, when love finally comes knocking on the front door, you"ll have a clean house to welcome it into.

If you could sum up In The Meantime in three words, what would they be?
Crucial relationship knowledge.
Which character – as performed by the narrator – was your favorite?
I love Iyanla and I loved hearing her narrate her own book. She makes you feel like she"s your best friend sitting beside you, holding your hand and loving you through your "stuff".
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
That relationships need to be recognized for what they are and that there is nothing wrong with a "meantime" relationship.
Any additional comments?
This woman speaks directly to my heart and I am always enlightened and profoundly changed by her work.

Story
With a career, a boyfriend, and a loving family, Piper Kerman barely resembles the reckless young woman who delivered a suitcase of drug money 10 years ago. But that past has caught up with her. Convicted and sentenced to 15 months at the infamous federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut, the well-heeled Smith College alumna is now inmate #11187-424 - one of the millions of women who disappear "down the rabbit hole" of the American penal system.

Where does Orange is the New Black rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Good.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked learning about the prison/corrections system through the experience of Piper Kerman and what her time behind bars was like. I found the cast of characters very interesting and definitely humanized "inmates" for me.
Any additional comments?
Cassandra Campbell"s voice, tone and intonation is IDENTICAL to the one of the actress that portrays her on the series. I had to actually google her to make sure it wasn"t the same person. I really enjoyed that neat similarity!

With vulnerability and honesty, Jerry Sittser walks through his own grief and loss to show that new life is possible - one marked by spiritual depth, joy, compassion, and a deeper appreciation of simple blessings. Loss came suddenly for Jerry Sittser. In an instant, a tragic car accident claimed three generations of his family: His mother, his wife, and his young daughter. While most of us will not experience such a catastrophic loss in our lifetime, all of us will taste it. And we can, if we choose, know the grace that transforms it.

What did you love best about A Grace Disguised?
I downloaded this book when I heard my Pastor mention it in a sermon last year. I was going through the beginning stages of my separation/divorce and was experiencing tremendous grief, sadness and pain. This book really validated my feelings regarding the whirlwind of emotion I was experiencing and helped heal my heart and help me understand the journey through ANY kind of loss. I would recommend this book to anyone suffering from a loss in their life. This book offers comfort through Jerry Sittser"s own personal experience as well as his belief in God and the bible as well as other spiritual teachings. Definitely instrumental in my own grieving process.
What about Tom Parks’s performance did you like?
His voice and tone were very comforting and reassuring.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried quite a bit. This book really touched my heart... it helped me acknowledge my emotions, validate them, sit with them and move through them with peace and understanding.
