I don't know why I kept listening but I did. There was nothing substantial here, No suspense at all and no twist. I predicted what was happening and it was the biggest snooze of the possibilities. I could have written this book and I'm not an author.

Moving story

Strength, hope and love abound. Based on true events ... amazing. I didnt feel a deep connection with characters but enjoyed very much.

I struggled through this book long past my complete loss of interest and was irritated by the long road to the end, the repetition and the narrator who overplayed. He reads like a 6th grader overemphasizing and too dramatic in places that dont call for it. Zero finesse or intrigue. ugh. so bored. I held on because I so desperately want to be Interested In a book. The story must be buried in there somewhere but no character development and lots of superfluous information. She got in the car. She closed the door. She put on her seatbelt. She thought about the drive home. She drove home. yeah ..like that.

I suspected almost everything and stuck with it out of curiosity and to find out how close I was.

I feel as if I just had a romance

This story and these characters broke me open and I lived the entire thing with them from the first word to the last. This is an exquisite ride of emotion that goes from the heights of courage and love to the crushing anguish of human experience and this narrator and author make you feel every moment that is for sure. I feel as if I knew Vianne and Isabelle and my heart will forever be in this book.

It was rambling and didnt keep my attention. still confused about why I didnt return. No surprises...not clever...just a winding tale that goes nowhere.

Repetitive and going nowhere

22 chapters until I bailed and returned it. I kept waiting for anything to happen. so drawn out and the same information is repeated in every way possible. The story of the disappearance had to be told 20 times especially in newspaper stories read again and again with same details. nothing elegant about the writing either. I found myself dreading turning it on.
