Historia
Wing Chun is the most popular form of Chinese kung fu in the world today, with more than four million practitioners. This guide will fascinate and educate anyone interested in the martial arts, from beginner to master. The art as it is presently understood has been handed down from teacher to student for more than 300 years. Until now, no one has ever stepped back and taken a critical look at why this art's techniques are presented and performed the way they are.

Pure and simple.
Revisado: 01-22-22
The purest viewpoint on Wing Chun that I've read, as the author answers the question why. Why did Wing Chun come to be? Why is it one of the most natural forms of kung fu and self-defense? Why do so many people fail to grasp the principles of energy and efficiency?

Achieve more with less effort: The secret to weight loss, fitness, and wellness lies in the most basic and most overlooked function of your body - how you breathe. One of the biggest obstacles to better health and fitness is a rarely identified problem: chronic overbreathing. We often take many more breaths than we need without realizing it, contributing to poor health and fitness, including a host of disorders, from anxiety and asthma to insomnia and heart problems.

How did I never know?
Revisado: 07-09-21
I can't believe this is the first mention of my life that it's possible to over breathe, much like we overeat.
I love how Patrick breaks down the science and reasoning behind it as well as share case studies on how overbreathing actually leaves us with less oxygen for our tissues to consume.
I bought this book because I'm going to be doing a 13 Mile obstacle course race at 10,000 ft and thought it would be wise to learn how to manage my oxygen levels and maximize my performance.
For me, the information and wisdom in the book has been absolutely invaluable.
