Excellent Small Business Guide for Growth

Based on sound business principles and contains excellent hands on guide for implementing procedures to improve a small business and survive the difficult stages of growth. A refreshingly authentic guide for real business growth in a sea of other get rich quick business books written by self declared experts in which the author’s only business was selling their book. Traction will be my long term reference for my own business development.

Good concepts but lacking reality and ethics

Overall some good concepts about creating a lifestyle of more freedom; however, it is very unrealistic in it’s portrayal of how easy it is to create a product, start a business, outsource everything, etc. The author uses far too many examples of outliers such as Tony Robbins, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc… and far too few examples of his own experience in being successful with his own advice. I truly don’t believe the author has ever had a 4-hour work week beyond an occasional vacation. I do give the author credit for being ahead of his time in the concept of full time remote work but he provides few actionable ideas on how to create it and many of his recommendations lack integrity and basic business ethics.

Another self proclaimed life coach that encourages others to leave their job and find their greater purpose without much specific guidance or wisdom. The book is mostly about the author’s personal journey in moving from full time jobs to self employment which is fine but not a lot of helpful substance.

Daniel is the backup punter for the Erie Hills Elephants, which really means he's the water boy. He spends most of his time hoping no one notices his strange habits - he calls them Zaps: avoiding writing the number four, for example. His life gets weirder when another girl at school, unkindly nicknamed Psycho Sara, notices him for the first time. She seems to peer through him. Then Daniel gets a note: "I need your help", it says, signed, Fellow Star Child - whatever that means. Suddenly, Daniel, a total no one at school, is swept up in a mystery that might change everything for him.

Love the story.

I LOVED this book. Daniel is a lovable, relatable character. He's quirky, funny, good-hearted, and miserably stuck in OCD obsessions and compulsions. His story is funny at times, and painful at times, but oh so important.
The book is very clean. No language at all. So whether or not this book is appropriate for your young reader will be more based on the intense themes.
The ending of the book surprised me. I will say: Daniel's story doesn't give accurate information about how to get help and get better as someone with OCD. The story is more focused on giving readers a glimpse into what OCD is like and on showing readers that you don't have to be alone in your struggles.
