**While the narration was very poorly done if you will only ever read this story via an audiobook it is STILL worth a listen!**

I found David Grann's "The Killers of the Flower Moon" to be an enlightening and profoundly sad read. This book masterfully uncovers a forgotten chapter of American history, blending true crime with investigative journalism. Grann's meticulous research and storytelling prowess shed light on the dark period in American history, and it's impossible not to be moved by the injustice and suffering the Osage tribe endured. This gripping narrative reveals deep-seated corruption, making it a must-read for anyone seeking a thought-provoking and emotionally impactful book.

A heart warming story of surviving your youth and using your past to heal brokenness. If you are a fan of Fredrik Backman you will thoroughly enjoy Schulman’s story.

It is definitely a character driven book but I was surprised at how well the plot came full circle. It took me a few chapters to actually become invested but it’s truly a MUST read.

Enjoyable weekend read and strong debut from Wheeler!! 🤩 A little predictable in my opinion but it was nicely wrapped up 🎀with a “happy ending” for a change. Also I was team Bubs from the start 🤍

I think what would have made this book 5⭐️ for me would have been to integrate her mental illness within the story a little more seamlessly. I feel like someone could read this book and relate strongly to Adelaide’s character and then assume they also have manic depression or bipolar or any other similar type mental illness. I just wish it differentiated mental illness and what being a woman is like. Like showing a juxtaposition of Adelaide and a friend (supporting character) dealing with similar issues and the difference between their responses perhaps 🤷🏻‍♀️. It just seemed to me that people could mistake being a woman and having hopes, dreams, and very full and real emotions to having a mental illness or that something is “wrong” with feeling these emotions. I mean I even cried at the end 🥹 believe me I’ve got plenty of emotions but I know I could never understand the weight of a true mental illness because that isn’t my particular struggle. 🖤

I did really enjoy the conversational writing style and I think that Adelaide as a character was super believable and honestly so was the plot. I did truly enjoy this book and would definitely recommend. I am excited to see what else Wheeler has in store for us! 🎉

This was SUCH a fun read! The characters were portrayed SO well by Reba Buhr. The ending is truly shocking! This book gives classic whodunit with an angsty teen spin and I’m so here for it! I literally listened to this book in a day because I COULD NOT put it down! Can’t wait to see what else Jessie Weaver comes out with 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
