Historia
In Battlefield Ukraine, all the usual suspects are hard at work: battles over resources, money, and miscommunication. This predictive novel explores a potential war between NATO and Russia over the fate of the separatist regions in eastern Ukraine. Lines have been drawn in the sand, but how firm are they? Will the massive disinformation campaign by the Russians trick the new American administration to do their bidding? Will the new American president back down, or will the world creep one step closer toward global war?

Only read it because it was free
Revisado: 08-25-23
Very disappointing. Interesting topic until the plot goes in the toilet making the story predictable. Not surprising the story makes NATO look like a bunch of clowns. I understand it’s supposed to be fiction. I would put it with the 1950s Mars Invasion Movies.

Childish and Repetitive
Revisado: 11-23-22
The main characters are stated to be approximately 26 years old. Unfortunately, after several years of waiting for the second book, it makes the characters more immature as if they were in their petulant teen years. Extremely disappointing and constantly repeating the same comments over every few pages.

Historia
Louie Anderson has been channeling his beloved mom in his iconic stand-up comedy for decades - but she passed away before getting to see him reach new heights with his breakout role. Hey Mom is Louie's way of catching Ora Zella Anderson up on everything that has been going on in his life, including his continued struggles with food and family, but also how so much has changed for the better. He also has plenty of laugh-out-loud stories about his incredibly resilient mother and his 10 siblings, as well as observations on the absurdities of life.

So moving and human
Revisado: 08-23-22
I was really sad when Louie passed away. Some of the chapters in this audiobook seem to foretell his end, and as if he knew it. I love knowing how close he was to his mom, and that Christine was modeled after her in Baskets. I miss him even more now. But I really enjoyed learning about his long career and perseverance despite a tough childhood. Hope you know how much you are missed and appreciated, Louie, wherever you are.

Extremely Disappointed
Revisado: 07-30-20
I have listened to several of his audiobooks. This one is extremely disappointing. The author spends so much time talking about breasts in the oddest situations. To make it more tiresome, the author has the main character engaging in sexual relations with other species. I honestly think there’s a zoophilia fetish. I would recommend fast forwarding though these areas if you don’t want to spend hours listening to the authors sexual fantasies.

Historia
Promoted to the elite Praetorian Guard in the thick of battle, a young legionary is thrust into a seedy world of imperial politics and corruption. Tasked with uncovering a plot against the newly crowned Emperor Commodus, his mission takes him from the cold Danubian border all the way to the heart of Rome, the villa of the Emperor’s scheming sister, and the great Colosseum. What seems a straightforward, if terrifying, assignment soon descends into Machiavellian treachery and peril as everything in which young Rufinus trusts and believes is called into question....

Good Story
Revisado: 06-17-19
It’s a good story. My main issue is with the performance. The performers whispering is interrupted by eruptions of shouting. It makes the experience almost intolerable. It makes no difference when listening on speakers or AirPods.

Historia
Rome, AD 68. Nero has committed suicide. One hundred years of imperial rule by the descendants of Julius Caesar has ended, and chaos rules. His successor, Galba, dismisses the incorruptible Germans of the Imperial Bodyguard for the crime of loyalty to the dead emperor. Ordering them back to their homeland, he releases a Batavi officer from a Roman prison to be their prefect. But Julius Civilis is not the loyal servant of empire that he seems.

Very disappointed. The narrator speaks too soft and then yells. His fake accent sounds too much like a certain Austrian actor. As far as the story, to much repetition.
