Fantastic book with a fantastic narrator
Revisado: 10-12-21
One of the most intriguing books I have read & listened to in a while. Part of it was, that the narrator was extremely good. He really got the voices, especially the butlers. I really loved it, and think with time, that I will pick it up and read it again.

Kit Colbana - half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades - has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake. So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the insanity that happens when you deal with shifters - especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.

A very interesting book with lots of action
Revisado: 08-01-21
The story takes place in a post apocalyptic sci-fi world, where people spend much of their time in Vertual environments, and corporations rule the world.
It’s a fast paced book, with lots of action and drama, but also technical details, and a little sprinkle of romance. I think it’s these intricate details, that really brings the book to life. Our main protagonist is April who has just started college. When her father goes missing, she teams up with one of her college professors and tries to find him. Quickly they are fighting for their lives, and running from corporations and governments alike.
It’s a very interesting book, taking place in a very detailed and well build world. You can see that the author has put a lot of work into making it come to live. The book does end on a cliffhanger, but not a large one. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I loved the book and ones I got started I couldn’t stop. I bought the ebook version of the book and was given the audio version for free. Since I loved the book, I am leaving a voluntary review.

Historia
The feud between the capital cities of Cambridge and Sephyra has reached a boiling point, leaving the “Jewel of the Highlands” a ghost of its former glory. Those with the means to live and the will to dream have already fled the city. Those lacking remain, condemned to bury their sorrow while the walls crumble around them. Ava spends her days tethered to her prison, the belly of an old, stone inn, overlooking the docks and the familiar sea-side market. Every day, the tavern fills with the hopes and dreams of those fleeing; Ava watches them leave with the one wish…to join them.

An interesting read
Revisado: 07-31-21
The Weave of Fate are the first book in the (Mists of Kel Doral: Shadowfall) series.
I recommend that you read this series in order. The book doesn’t end with a major cliffhanger, but there are still several story lines, that needs to be finished. It’s a complicated book, in that you are following several story lines at the same time. The book has been written so that we are following several parallel story lines. We also have many protagonists and several antagonists in the book. It also often was hard to see who are the protagonists and who are the antagonists, but that are one of the things I liked about the book. Using the terms light or dark, most of the people here are in the grey zone, which makes for an interesting read.
The style is a little like “the Witcher”, because you eventually see how all of those pieces (of the story) fits together. The world building are fantastic, with lots of details that you can see the author has spend a lot of time on. I think, that’s what carries the book on. Another thing I liked, was that it at times are hard to see who are the protagonists and who are the antagonists. Using the terms light or dark, most of the people here are in the grey zone, which makes for an interesting read.
I can recommend the book to fans of The Witcher, and would set the ages for the readers at 16 . Triggers for the series are violence, rape, abuse and slavery.
The narrator for the audio version of the book, does a really good job, but I am glad I got the ebook version too. The reason for that, is that I sometimes needed to go back and re read some of the passages, in order to understand what was going on. I received the audio version of this book for free, and borrowed the ebook version on KU. Since I liked the book, I am leaving a voluntary review.

Fantastic world building
Revisado: 07-31-21
Ageless fury are number 2 in the “Mists of Kel Doran-Shadowfall” series. I am sure we will be seeing more of. The book doesn’t end with a major cliffhanger, but there are still several story lines, that needs to be finished. Girl meets boy story, with a paranormal twist
Revisado: 07-31-21
This is a lovely girl meets boy story with a paranormal twist. The protagonist is a very sweet girls, who can see auras. So when she sees a scary looking dude while on vacation, she doesn’t see him as scary but hurt and depressed.
It’s a good, well written story for audiences 18 . I really liked it. It’s the type of story where you can just sit back, relax and disengage you brain for a while.
The narrator are good. Reads with a steady easy voice, and does a good performance. I borrowed the ebook version on KU and got the audio version for free. It’s whisper sync enabled, so it’s easy to switch between the two types. I am now leaving a voluntary review, since I likes the book.

When you are a member of Britain’s first team of wizard spies, every mission might be your last. But as the dawning of the 20th century draws ever nearer, magic grows weak. Violectric Dampening, the clash of man-made electricity with the gifts of magekind, threatens M.I.’s existence. And if that isn’t enough, they’ve now been discharged from their own government. Obsolete. Distrusted. And now hunted by one of their own.

Magic, action, Spy’s and young love
Revisado: 07-27-21
The story takes place at the end of the 19th century in Britain under the rule of queen Victoria. The main protagonist is 14 year old Myra. After she starts getting visions at age 8 she runs away from home (to protect her family) and ends up in an orphanage. One night there is a fire in a near by warehouse, and as that connects to her visions, young Myra ends up inside. Not knowing how she got there, she tries to help as well as she can, and this becomes her introduction into a world of magic. Here she starts to learn the her way around her own powers, and the price for using them. The group she ends up entangled with, is a group of magical spy’s.
The world build in this story is very good. You get all of the Victorian times, with its ups and down, for the poor and the rich. It has a lot of action, and a little love too when Myra develops a crush toward one of their new colleagues.
I really liked the details of the world build and how the characters developed. It was hard to imagine how a 14 year old can have a crush like this, but in the Victorian times, girls did marry a lot younger than they do now, and there were no inappropriate behavior in the book.
There is a lot of details in this story, which was hard to keep track of in the audio version of the book. When that happened, I was grateful that I also bought the ebook version of the book, since it enabled me to go back and look up those details. It will be interesting to see where this story goes nexts.
The narrator was very good, which brought be great joy when listening to the story. All in all I loved the book. I got the audio version of this book for free, and bought the ebook version. Since I loved the story, I am leaving a voluntary review.

The story continues
Revisado: 07-22-21
Phantom hunter is the second book in the phantom saga. The series is set in a sci-fi/fantasy world, where the United States of America has been separated into 4 different countries. In this second book we follow the new adventures of our protagonists Regan and Phantom, as they try to get hold of the stolen data. This is also a good book, but the focus is a lot on the developing relationship between Regan and Phantom. It focuses less on the protagonists ability to handle every situation with flair, something I hope we get to see more of, in the next book. We see more of Regans leadership abilities and less of the phantom as she follows her heat and let Regan take the lead. This leads to a lot of conflicts as the story progresses. I really liked this one too, but hope that phantom learns from her experiences and go back to her more forceful role in the next book. As last time, the narrator is great. He is great at changing his voice to separate the dialogues between the different character.
I bought the ebook, but got the audio book for free. Since I liked the book, I am leaving a voluntary review.

Revisado: 07-06-21
A brilliant second book in the Kate series. I can’t wait to listen to the next one. It’s rare to find a series, where you want to stay up focused on it, until you are finished with them all. Too bad, I have to eat, sleep and work. The narrator are utterly brilliant too. Renee Raudman now one of my favorite narrators

A strange beginning
Revisado: 07-03-21
Time keeper is the prequel to the series Realm of Elestra. The story takes place in a strange world, where a boy and his adopted sister ends up in an orphanage with people from another realm. It’s a good book, but a little confusion. As all prequels we get introduced to the protagonists. In this one we meet him during his childhood and watch him grow up. The world isn’t very detailed yet, but I will assume that we will learn more in books to come. The narrator of the audio version are really good, with an accent that was a joy to listen to. I bought be ebook version and good the audio version for free. Since I liked the book, I am leaving a voluntary review
