Characters , and the euphemisms used from days gone past. The narrators sweet voice lulled you into the story.

Good story but very repetitive info, like just trying to fill space😫
Revisado: 06-12-24
Repetitiveness of explanations. Repeatedly bringing back up information, ideas, or what was said. Story was good didn’t need repeating!

My review may seem unfair
- De Anonymous Person en 02-05-21
Weak story, jumpy sequence, very wishy washy ending
Revisado: 07-21-23
The plot had very little substance. The characters were boring and limp. The drowning scene was sooooo unrealistic! Way too dramatic and explanatory, too many adjectives!

When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.
