Disappointed in the series

Liliths shadow books 1-3 were interesting but books 4-6 were very disappointing. The abrupt change to Lilith, Rachel and Gina’s interactions were disappointing and significantly unrealistic. One of Liliths strongest powers is the ability to boost her trusted companions by 10% for 15 min intervals repeatedly. If they had drifted to the point of this connection being lost it would have been a huge deal that would have been discussed because of its operational importance.

I’m extremely disappointed in the romance aspect of these books. The groundwork is laid for a fulfilling series but the character interactions were empty and left me disappointed.

At the end of book 1-3 I was excited about the series but now at the conclusion of books 4-6 I’m feel like I wasted 60 hours.

Pet peeve alert

I really liked this book, but the author failed big time on research or editing. I cringed so many times while listening to Krystin’s rodeo queen experience. It will probably only irritate someone who has a background that includes rodeo knowledge but it’s very noticeable that it wasn’t import enough to the author to get it reviewed.

Holy hell I couldn’t turn it off!

Sleep be damned I will survive on fairy dust and love today! It was a fantastic listen. Narrator was perfect for the job. Lots of feel goods and tears… a recipe for an amazing book.

This was my first virtual voice narration

I can honestly say that this the most awful book I’ve ever listened to. There was no story it was just one poorly written erotic scene after another. I kept checking the time remaining in hopes that it was almost over. I have been avoiding virtual narration and decided if I was going to try it I needed to give it a fair chance. To me this meant listening to the bitter end. I can’t say that this book was a fair chance for virtual narration to be effective so I will have to try again. Maybe I can find a book I’ve read and enjoyed that’s been narrated with virtual voice to get a better idea.

Yakima, WA population of almost 100,000 is not rural….

I really bought the book to see how the author was going to work out Yakima as a rural town. From the description of the where the ranch is located and how it’s described I think the Ranch itself should have been placed in Naches, WA a rural town near Yakima, WA.

I enjoyed the book very much and it was a great way to spend my Sunday. :) The characters were great and I loved the humorous stories woven into the overall story.

I adore this series. The characters jump out and pull you into the story. I love longer books and series that have the same central characters like this one. Stiletto was a big shock and I’m curious to see how that storyline comes into play in the future.

I’m a big fan of Lise Gold. She’s always got fun and exciting characters in so many different places in life! Her stories are all very vet the glove and I love visiting all the places she creates.

I didn’t enjoy it

I disliked the narrator from the beginning. The characters are expected to be flawed and I can even enjoy a story that is hard to believe but this one had a main character that just ignored everything clearly happening then did the same level of unthinkable to another character who blindly just kept taking the crappy treatment.

Nope not for me and I don’t plan to read the next two books in the series either. I hate to leave bad reviews but a book that lands in my never to be read again collection deserves to be accurately portrayed in reviews.

Another fantastic story from Milena McKay. This time instead of an ice queen we were gifted with the kindest and gentlest of souls that so clearly internalized everything they’ve ever experienced.

Abby Craden is once again spectacular at bringing the characters to life she is one of my favorites.
