Historia
World War III broke out 130 years ago when humans found out that magi and shifters were real. Humans have been imprisoning and enslaving the two species since. But now humans need their help protecting the world from the strange monsters they let cross the veil between realms. All three species have been at odds for more than a century, but can Madeo—a mage—and Cosmo—a lion shifter—put aside their differences to work together, and maybe even find comfort in each other’s arms?

Where do they find these narrators
Revisado: 12-27-22
The narrator was terrible. Can’t pronounce L’s, turns almost every line into a question, and has trouble working the punctuation into sentences, so they often don’t sound right. Not the worst I’ve listened to, but definitely takes away from the experience.
The writing is juvenile at times, but I really enjoyed the story. It’s predictable, and kind of pandering at times too, but if you’re looking for a story to make you feel good, this one has a lot to offer. I plan to continue with the series, and look forward to the future of these characters.

Stop with all the background noise
Revisado: 10-20-22
The book is great, the narrator does awesome voices, although the Wookiee with the ‘speech impediment’ voice sounded pretty stupid. But the constant too-loud and distracting background noises made it very hard to focus on the story.

Too much background noise
Revisado: 11-25-21
Seriously, it’s way over the top. Some sound effects sometimes are neat, some minor background sound effects to add to the atmosphere can be nice too. This takes it way too far though. Constant noise, way too loud, at times making it hard to even understand what is being said.

One of my favorite books/series of all time.

The only thing I didn't like was the narrator's voice for Saphira. Everything else was perfect, including the other voices the narrator used.

Historia
One of the most cunning and merciless officers of the First Order, Captain Phasma commands the favor of her superiors, the respect of her peers, and the terror of her enemies. But for all her renown, Phasma remains as virtually unknown as the impassive expression on her gleaming chrome helmet. Now, an adversary is bent on unearthing her mysterious origins - and exposing a secret she guards as zealously and ruthlessly as she serves her masters.

Mediocre
Revisado: 10-12-18
Learning about phasma was interesting, and mostly the stories about her were compelling. The premise for telling them, however, was idiotic, unrealistic, and unconvincing. Also, the author needs to learn how to start a sentence without the words “for all that”. It’s garbage writing, repetitive, and used across all characters, so it makes you constantly aware of the authors writing style, in an awkward and clumsy way.

Garbage
Revisado: 07-07-18
I made it through all three of these books, because I’m a completionist, but it was a slog. The acting was over dramatized, the writing was cheap and bad, the stupid perspective thing where everything is awkwardly in the present tense was distracting and at times disorienting. The premise for the story was very good, but the execution was abysmal. The main female character was so overly dramatic as to be completely unbelievable, and the introduction of this schism between mon mothma and leia felt fo forced and not believable. The supporting characters development was awkward at times and forced, and horribly cliche in almost every instance. This was more like reading mange or a cartoon than actual serious literature, even fictional literature. Compared with any of the legends novels, this book feels like it was written for children, by a child. I regret the fact that I feel compelled to read all of the new canon, because if i didn’t, I wouldn’t have sat through this whole book. There were several times where I had to stop listening and switch to something else, because it was just too cheesy. The only characters I even kind of liked were Sloane and rax, and those were the bad guys!!
