You go into this book thinking that you know Rowling"s style. Then she hits you with fake tanned big breast wives and teenagers hiding boners. I honestly couldn"t stop listening. Where her other work took you to this magical place, this one takes you to a realistic village where everyone isn"t perfect. And I think that"s what I loved most it, it truly made me feel that this place is real.

I lime to run to these books and seeing that the authors change I was skeptical if it would have the same tempo. And boy did this book deliver I found myself changing the scenery of my run and getting lost in LA with James driving the way.

As someone who has read Greek myths you will not be disappointed. Stephen Fry gives you a new outlook on the myths and you find them even more enjoyable. His use of pop culture also serves to make the retelling more enjoyable.

I first read this in middle school, and loved to think about the boy Bond. He"s such an amazing hero and you just can"t help but root for him. Listening to it as an adult its still great everything in it seems reasonable. James is the hero yeah but he succeeds through smarts and perseverance instead of muscle and ruthlessness. 5/5.

I think this is book 5 and so far it"s my favorite book. The first half of the book is just amazing in that you don"t even really meet James Bond its all about setting up the opposing spies and its amazing.

This book was amazing. You go into it thinking gods and heroes are awesome because pop culture. And then it tears that construct down and replaces it with the harsh reality of times these myths were created. You really get to feel that Achilles isn"t a hero in the modern sense. Where as Patroclus steals the show as you follow a should be nobody who is in love with this person.

I loved this book, it made Bond sound like the perfect rough edged character who isn"t quite the Bond we know. It not certain he"ll escape or even win. He just happens to be methodical and lucky. i really liked that.

I like most people have often read or watched Harry Potter and each time I go through the journey it"s a blast. Stephen Fry is magnificent in his narration of Philosophers Stone.

I went into this thinking here"s a magic cop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it created slightly more magical modern London. I found myself just starting to see this city in it"s true form, which is that its huge filled with various people that you have to Google sometimes. I love Peter and can"t wait for the next adventure.
