Episodes like this one stand out as the best of those produced by these two. You know you’re in for a good time when out of the gate Isyander and Koda are pumped! Titans are a topic i personally know very little about in the lore, and after the great deal of topics these two went through in this episode I now have nothing but a pure desire to learn more about them, especially the great machine spirit in the world eaters flag ship. Good job as always guys, now have a lot of books to go find!

Another great episode by these two, you can’t even tell they’re sick! This was surprisingly PG look into the dark eldar, which until now felt very one dimensional. Good job guys. I would like to vote for the Minotaurs for the next episode.

Thank you Isyander and Koda for making this podcast. For people like myself who simply do not or cannot watch videos you guys have made something that can be enjoyed by anyone. You guys are so incredibly descriptive and well versed that people like myself can enjoy your content without physically watching it. I feel that many hobby themed podcasts focus too much on their YouTube audience and therefore forget about limitations on other platforms. But the effort you put into your content shows that you care about your entire audience because whether you are watching on YouTube or Patreon, listening on Audible, Spotify, Apple or Android podcasts you are receiving the same experience as everyone else. It means so much to people like myself. Please don’t ever stop what you are doing, you have brought the wonders of Warhammer to so many people, and I really do thank you for it.

Night of the living deed is light hearted comedy more than anything. Essentially imagine two casper the friendly ghosts, plus a very dumb protagonist. Though all in all it’s not bad, and is a good start to your October if you’re not into the more frightening horror books that come with the month.

I wish Audible would be a better job of sorting historical literature from political literature. This books is most certainly politically commentary speaking less on the history or coyotes, and more on the writers perceived cultural view on them. As a man who has grown up in a region where coyotes are common vermin, who has seen them kill many household pets, attack young livestock, and show increased activity within urban areas, it was a shock to hear the writer exclaim that these creatures are misunderstood and should be welcomed into our society. The author will go as far as to insult coyote based cultural events and those associated with them and scorn those who exterminate coyotes when they pose a threat to civilized life. This books has done nothing more than to further my dislike of coyotes, and do extensive research on what is required to hunt them.

It takes a lot for me to leave a book unfinished, especially a free one.

I’ll keep it short, and try to focus on the good. The first half of the book is genuinely very good. It’s incredibly atmospheric, the plot is pushed along at a good pace, and the events unfolding are explained well. The characters you meet are generally likable and books seems to shape up to be a good read, until you reach the boiling point. Unfortunately about half way through two of the main characters are given significant plot armor. The plans that they create and the actions that they make are genuinely moronic, and yet they can do no wrong. When all odds are against them, and their beliefs are challenged, people eventually just roll over.
This books could have been so much, and it genuinely was shaping up to be incredible, but the two main characters are just so dumb, and they are allowed to get away with it.

There are hundreds of reviews for this book, so there’s not much I can say that hasn’t been said already. It’s by far and away the best short story series that doesn’t require credits. Pick it up, it’s only a couple hours long and it’s mostly worth it. I say mostly because right in the middle of the book there’s an unnecessary fairly political chunk about this guy named Daniel. You can skip right past it and miss very little.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews so I’ll try to focus on the good stuff first. No spoilers of course The book is free, and at times the story is fantastic. The monsters seem to be well designed and when you get a park behind the curtain it’s riveting. Also the scientist is a fantastic character written well. For a filler between credits it’s not half bad, but it’s close. Just know that the ending is terrible.

The Thomas Prescott series has its roots in a semi gritty, comedic detective genre. Unfortunately the two previous books, while still entertaining, resemble more of a comedic action thriller with little detective work being done. This book brings the series right back to its roots. The Numbers is an incredible prequel to the rest of the Thomas Prescott series, answering questions that the first book, Unforeseen, brought up. The mystery is gripping, the comedy never covers over the main story, the relationships between characters feel realistic, the story itself never feels as if it’s pushing an ideal onto the reader, and most importantly the entire book is enthralling. This new addition to the Prescott series in my own opinion is definitely in the top three of not just it’s own series, but of any story Nick Pirog has published.

Overall most DND podcasts do a terrible job at being easy to listen to, and while this campaign had some moments where it was just dragging on, all in all this story was a joy to listen to. The characters had depth and arc’s of their own. The story was engaging and enjoyable, and even without video, everything was described well enough to create a wonderful image of the world.
