Revolutionary War through the eyes of a youth

This story was wonderfully captivating. From the resonance of the reader's voice to the narrative of the youth I found this book difficult to pause. Never before have I heard a book so compelling and informative to include both story and facts rarely heard. A treasure.

It's difficult to believe this story was published in 1987. Claire Danes does a heartfelt reading of this dystopic story set in the not so distant future. Frighteningly possibilities illustrate not only the setting of the period but also of ours.

A revelation in changing the way we see our men

I've been married for 20 years to the love of my life and best friend. We've worked and raised 2 now adults together and found ourselves learning more about each other with every passing storm we've weathered. Too stubborn to give up on each other as we grow. Had we or I read this book before we could have seen each other more clearly through our differences instead of trying for similarities. There's always more to learn and a brighter future ahead for those with open hearts to find their way together. Much love to the author for this and her lectures. Shine on.

Lots of books out there to 'get you on the right track' and 'reach your goals' but few focus on the moment. This book inspires the reader to embrace the moments given as a win for the future, one moment at a time. Instantly relatable and inspiring. A must read for anyone with a pulse and desire to live the life they barely dare to dream.

I've been amazed by how well the author and research make sense of those areas where my husband, work partner and I (of 20 years) just couldn't mesh. Makes so much sense now that we're evolving into a new stage of our relationship together. Looking forward to what the moment and future hold. Thank you for such an informative briefing.
