I enjoyed the story, the purposed cultural context and references. The language of love toward hair, mother daughter relationships, and the unique gifts. The attachment of one present parent and how she protects her child to the best of her abilities. Excellent storytelling and I want more from this author!

If this does not become a Netflix series… OMG! I was in my car going through all the emotions and yelling! These authors weaved a story that does not disappoint. Even the low moments are high octane conversations. The writing is impeccable. They have built these worlds that I want to visit. Characters are multidimensional but understood and not abstract. I love this series.

If this does not become a Netflix series then we’ve missed a visual opportunity to witness a great story! As long as the integrity of the author’s writing is not butchered then this needs to be on screen.

This writing in this genre is Netflix worthy! The story is breathtaking taking all of your emotions on a rollercoaster ride. Darcy and Tory, the heirs, the council, the lives and love’s lost.. I’m hooked! Great narrators that keeps the listener engrossed! Highly recommended for young adults to the mature who are young at heart ❤️

Excellent 2nd installment of the series! Read well with dialects intact. Storyline picked up right where it left off in the first book. It was a roller coaster ride and some new information as well 😉 Anxiously waiting for 2024!

Excellent writing and narration! This story keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's a whodunit fantastical ride mixed with real events in history. Time travel, family issues, love in the past and present, corruption and annihilation of people all hinges on a 17 year old girls shoulder. I think I'm ready for the 3rd installment. This is an excellent story for tweens, teenagers, honestly, any age. If you ever wished you could go back in time and change some scenes in your life, think twice after reading this story😉

Kate is a 17-year-old girl that is about to find out why she's "different." Katherine, her grandmother, has an unusual love for history that she wants to share with Kate. Rysa Walker does an excellent job in using time quantic physics that is believable and simple to understand. You don't get lost in technical jargon as you listen or read the story. I heard and was delightfully thrilled with the author's writing and narration.

There is no spoiler alert in this review, but I will say that the story's foundation is an age-old social construct that Rysa unfolds through intergenerational collaboration. The inclusivity of age, diversity of characters, and cultural and historical information add realism. The twists, turn, and slight cliffhangers (answered in the next chapter) were like being at the movies. I listened to the story while driving and in my home. And in both areas, I waited on bated breath for the next word and voice modulation that released it. Kate Rudd, the narrator, did an impeccable job at keeping the male and female voices exciting and in their perspective role placement.

I loved the 1st installment of the Timebound series; now I'm on to book 2. I highly recommend this book for young adults, history buffs, time travel tourists, love never goes out of style at any age, family disputes, and the mature who are still young at heart.

Loved this 2nd installment of the series. Amber, the Matchmaker is a senior in high school. I won't spoil the story but the essence of the story is "the heart chooses what the heart wants" in spite of what the fates predict. Sometimes you have to step away from what family or friend's think what's best for you and decide what is best for you. Again the author gives us insight on how love is not linear but a plethora of options that takes Amber and her friends on a wild ride. But she also includes how past choices sometimes has a way of winding there way into the present to either deal with them or be healed from them. Excellent writing and narration. Can't wait to hear the 3rd book😀

Loved it! I'm from the Chicago area and Crystal Cestari made me believe that the world she created was real. Her use of Chicago's landscape mixed with fantasy gave the story a realism edge. The story at its core is about love and how the heart "wants what it wants." I won't spoil it for the next listener or reader but I'm glad I listened to it. The narrator Jeannie Tirado breathed life to a sixteen year old girl named Amber who is a matchmaker who didn't get the witch gene of her mother. She captured the sound of her character and the author's usage of teenage language was superb. The fantasy was the function of the characters and its sparkle if you will. But again the very heart of the story is about love, choices, and allowing yourself to love when you thought falling in love was for everyone else but you. I recommend this book for teenagers to the mature who still believe in fantasy and love.
