Narrator is annoying.
Revisado: 12-18-24
the voices have changed for the worst. Sean now sounds like a 3 pk a day smoker. It really throws off the listening experience for me.
Lucy sounds unsure of herself with this story. Not one of my favorite storylines in the series.
Love the series overall.

Great Continuation of story
Revisado: 11-30-24
Absolutely loved the continuation of this trilogy. It adds the other dead bride's history to the storyline. The book continues along in the family Inheritance.
Sonya with Chloe, her bestie now living in the Poole haunted home. Evolves the love story of Sonya's boyfriend Trey and Sonya's talented Cousin Owen Poole, best friend to Trey. Not to forget 3 dogs, a cat and the hauntings from the disgruntled Dobbs and the rest of the dead brides and former house companions that add spice to the home.
Cant wait to finally hear the conclusion to this divinely enchanted tale and Sonya's adventures in reclaiming the family home and conquering the curse of Dobbs.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 11-16-24
Overall, 2 storylines going at the same time, with nothing new with this writing style.
The daughter of the Nicole, is brass, loud, obnoxious and scream yells alot. Found this character irritating. (My opinion).
Blessed returns with Sherlock and Savich. This storyline was drawn out.
The other one with Nicole and her loud, yelling daughter was too drawn out.
Have to say, this was one of my least favorite books from this author.
Long winded, overly loud and dramatic characters.
If you skipped this book as with some others in the series, you would not miss much.
Don't get me wrong, I like Catherine Coulter as an author, but this series really goes all over the place with storylines.
For example, you meet Sherlock and Savich in The Maze, and her mother is crazy, child like, and ridiculous. (Has she gotten on stable medications? Has Sherlock's father realized his wife is crazy?)
In the last couple of books in this FBI series, Sherlock's mother is a normal grandmother to their son Sean- before Sherlock's mother- (in The Maze) needed a companion to keep her safe. Now, she's a completely different character in the last couple of books. Makes no sense. (Its like the author never addressed Sherlocks crazy mother, and now she's the normal mother and grandmother taking care of Sean. It's likeSherlocks's mother is a totally different character from when she was first introduced into the series. ????
But overall, the last couple of books in this FBI series have been good, back on track and entertaining.
Just my opinion.
Maybe you will enjoy this book more than I did. I have been relistening to the entire FBI series and have noticed how some of the books are just ridiculous. I get creative freedom when writing, but keeping characters consistent to a storyline helps fluidity.

Another OMG moment, in the lives of The First Family Series!
Revisado: 05-29-24
As usual, Marie Force, doesn't disappoint her readers with another nonstop action filled adventure of The First Family Series.
Characters are full stop real like your right there with them during the nonstop daily happenings either at The While House, with Sam and Nick's close friendships, the ongoing investigations at the police department and during the investigations Sam and the department do to uncover the interwoven crimes throughout the Capital.
As an avid fan from the first Fatal Series Books to the now First Family Series, its never a dull moment for First Family as they navigate being the First Family.
Sam continues to juggle her job as the Lt. running the Homicide Department, First Lady duties, being a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend during everyday chaos with a sense of humor.
Narration as always was done well.
Had to laugh with the author's note of oops at the end.
Now, all I have to do is be very patient for the next book.
Would really love not having to wait a whole week later for audible release version. 😉
But, I'm very patient.
Don't forget her Wild Widow's spin off. 😜

I liked the main Character and her adventures behind enemy lines post war. Who can she trust?
Enjoyable characters, story has it all-post war fear, betrayal, a list, and a former lover. Can she bring him back home with all the info he's learned as an agent?
Narrator did a great job with all the character voices.
I would recommend this series.

Entertaining Listen- Liz Danger Series Book one
Revisado: 05-12-24
So you return to your hometown after 15 years. You get pulled over by a cop for speeding. Great day so far. But the cop's kinda cute.
Upon returning, you will have to deal with your dysfunctional family and upbringing, throw in a murder, an ex boyfriend, a wedding, a bit of comedic wit and your employer moving to town for a few months to rent a home to complete your work assignments together. What could possibly go wrong?
You have a great narrator who brings all the characters to life.
"Lavender's Blue"- A Liz Danger Series Book one.
First time listening to these authors and you have a fast paced, entertaining book to enjoy.
Starting Book two, "Rest in Pink" now.
I truly enjoyed this fast paced, entertaining book with a bit of everything, especially Liz Danger's wit.
I'm always happy to find a good book to enjoy.
Right now free to listen and read on kindle unlimited.
I will definitely look for other books by these authors, Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer.
Witty quote from book:
"Family that makes you think about killing yourself whenever your with them is not family, its a biological mugging".

Just the Worst Narration Ever Done!
Revisado: 05-08-24
First as my title says. The Narrator is just so darn awful and ruins the listening experience. Not the same Person who Narrated the other Kathleen Turner books.
It also shows how base and down right disgusting Blane's playboy behavior and what he thinks and does with women.
I actual forgot about his perspective and it just reminds about how many times he keeps going back and sleeping with Candy, the Ice Queen, ( related to series)
even after she (in the series tells everything she can about Kathleen to a sorority sister and a killer to get Blane back and puts Kathleen in Danger. You'll understand what I mean when you get to that part.
I guess maybe reading it really would be better.

First book I've listened to from this author and she did not disappoint. Loved the historical setting and time. Characters were easy to understand and connect with as the story developed. Enjoyed the mystery and the evolving friendship that the duo developed as they set out to solve a murder.
Narration was done well.
Will definitely be continuing on with book two of this series.

Horrible AI voice- couldn't listen to it.
Revisado: 02-28-24
I think reading this story would be better.
The AI generated voice was horrible. It totally ruined the listening experience and is a disservice to the story and the author.
AI generated voice narration lacks where to stop in a sentence. It lacks human emotion, personality, and really sounds awful. Couldn't get past a few pages.
I don't honestly know if the story is any good.
Skip the AI generated voice and read the book instead.
You really cannot replace human inflection, emotion when listening to an audio version of a book.
AI doesnt grasps where/how to stop, pause, or even add emotion in a sentence.
Maybe AI will get better in the future.
Just my opinion of AI.
No opinion of the author or the story written. 🤔
