i was ecstatic to have found this hidden gem. Valerie Keogh again shines through with her captivating creative writing skills and is joined by brilliant narrator Rose Robinson. Her pitch-perfect precision is always a delight. I'm proud to say I have a coveted collection of their offerings. Written in a first-person perspective done to perfection, this psychological thriller is absolutely engaging and audictive. Lissa McColl's backstory is expertly woven, revealing a woman driven by past traumas. As a nurse, her hidden nature allows her to gather secrets and manipulate those around her, often with devastating consequences. Highly recommended and worthy of an Audible credit. I can't stress it enough – this is a wonderfully wicked tale. If you're like me and an avid fan of British psychological thrillers, "The Nurse" is an absolute must-have!

British delight! When I discovered K.L. Slater’s “Message Deleted,” narrated by Annabel Schobel, on Audible, I couldn't wait. I promptly put my previous listen on hold. Slater never disappoints, and "Message Deleted" is no exception. Her creative brilliance interweaves a complexellent web of twists and turns, keeping me hooked and guessing until the very end. Schobel’s narrative talents bring this ensemble cast to vivid life. I was thoroughly engaged throughout and thrilled with the depth and emotion. The plot centers around Saffy, who receives a cryptic text message from her best friend, Leona, only to have it deleted moments later. She becomes involved in a mystery surrounding Leona’s disappearance, her daughter and oh, so much more. Who can be trusted? Multifaceted with suspenseful surprises and shockers around every corner, I found myself intently listening with full attention to every detail. Get this one now. I’m thrilled I did. So highly recommended, I want to scream from the rooftop, “Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”

“I never lie unless when it’s absolutely essential.” Ain’t that the truth?

I thoroughly enjoyed my second audiobook from author Jane E. James. "Her Second Husband" proved to be an excellent choice from the Audible Plus Catalogue. The narration by Claire Rushbrook was outstanding, earning her a well-deserved spot in my collection of top-notch narrators. So many surprises around every corner, be advised to listen intently. You do not want to miss anything. The story follows Linda, a woman searching for her husband, who discovers a shocking truth that challenges everything she thought she knew. This unique offering is a gripping and absorbing listen, full of surprises that drew me in from the very start. James expertly weaves a complexellent web of secrets and lies, leading the listener on a riveting investigation. And a jaw-dropping ending ending that left me reeling with pure joy! Overall, “Her Second Husband” is an engaging and unpredictable thriller that will appeal to those who are fans of psychological suspense. Highly recommended and worth a credit. Don’t be daft! Grab this satisfying listen now! I’m already on the search for more by James and Rushbrook.

Oh, my! What a deliciously devious story – captivating “The Grandmother.” This talented trio weaves a complex web of intricate twists and turns, keeping me on the edge of my seat. Author Jane E. James and narrators Anna Cordell and Max Dinnen prove to be a talented trio. The characters are delightfully bizarre, and the subplots are expertly crafted, requiring my full attention. I found myself completely audicted, with no room for multitasking. The ending left me craving more, and I’m eagerly hoping for a sequel. Perhaps it's just me, but I couldn't get enough of this thrilling tale. If you’re a fan of transfixing and bewildering British listens, do yourself a favor and grab this elaborate listen now! Epic, I say!

Unfortunately, the timing wasn't quite right for me. I’ve run across this with Audible over the years. While I appreciate the author’s talents and the narrator’s skills, this thriller didn’t quite resonate with me. I will try another listen later.

The intro to the book is available, so I will jump right into my review. One of the reasons I chose this book was the fact that Shalini Boland and Clare Corbett were again joining forces. Corbett's exceptional narration brings every character to life with precision. Throughout, this deliciously wicked thriller left me reeling and breathless. Corbett, as always, goes above and beyond as she brings all characters to vivid life with precision. A favorite author of mine, Boland, intricately weaves a gripping search for a missing newlywed. I was absolutely audicted to "The Honeymoon." There are so many twists and turns here that had my head spinning. I can't stress it enough. Don't be daft and please get it now! This is one of the most captivating books I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I do so appreciate my British thrillers and this is another reason why. The shocking ending left me stunned – I never saw that coming! Highly recommended, this epic thriller kept me hooked until the very end.

The story follows Keri and Nathan, a seemingly happily married couple celebrating 25 years together. But when shocking secrets surface, their relationship is turned upside-down. I'm a huge fan of Valerie Keogh, and "The Couple in the Photograph" is another outstanding addition to my collection. Paired with the incredible narration by Helen Keeley, this offering is a guaranteed winner that had me hooked from the start. Over the years, I’ve learned that searching by narrator can lead to hidden gems, and Keeley is another favorite of mine. Her dazzling narration brings the intricate subplots, welcome creep factor and jaw-dropping surprises to life. Be sure to listen closely, as you don’t want to miss a single twist or turn, zig or zag. I feel incredibly lucky to have snagged it for under $2. I curtsy to Keogh and Keeley for their collaborative efforts in bringing “The Couple in the Photograph” to Audible. Don’t be daft, get this book now! Epic, indeed!

An awesome thank you to author Lee M. Cooper for a free code to his “The Town That Never Was.” {{INSIDIOUS}} Narrator Timothy H. Fielder is one of the best with his audictive deep resonating vocal tones. Unique! Brilliant! Creepy! This curiously wicked missing persons’ investigation had me hooked from the very start. Chicago police officer Christian Hawk’s journey to the cold, desolate town of Holberg, Norway is full of twists and turns. {{ENGROSSING}} What the hell was happening here? Keeping my attention, I anxiously continued to find out and what a jaw-dropping surprise I never would have guessed. {{PERILOUS}} Highly recommended and worth a treasured Audible credit. I’d have appreciated if the book was a longer listen, more than 2:59.

I was thrilled to discover “The Stepdaughter's Lie" by Teri Terry, narrated by Melanie Crawley, as my free monthly Audible listen with Amazon Music subscription. {{EERIE}} This hidden gem of a suspenseful psychological thriller intricately interweaves a complexellent web of suspicious lies and secrets. {{SPECTACULAR}} Terry’s writing is exquisite, and Crawley's flawless narrative skills bring this devious tale to vivid life. Their partnership is a magnificent match, and I’m on the search for more of their works. {{INSIDIOUS}} Following a woman whose life seems perfect, her stepdaughter’s hatred and desire for destruction seemingly turns her world off its axis. {{PERILOUS}} As the plot unfolds, dark secrets and lies are revealed, keeping me hooked and craving more. So highly recommended, I am once again on my rooftop, shrieking “Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”
