Historia
His name was Feliks. He came to London to commit a murder that would change history. A master manipulator, he had many weapons at his command, but against him were ranged the whole of the English police, a brilliant and powerful lord, and the young Winston Churchill himself. These odds would have stopped any man in the world - except the man from St. Petersburg.

A Tale For Teens
Revisado: 04-10-24
This book and its narrators are
presenting a story at the level of a 15 year old listener. There is nothing subtle or literary here. It’s a “me too” revenge story at best.

Historia
From 1915 to 1970, this exodus of almost six million people changed the face of America. Wilkerson compares this epic migration to the migrations of other peoples in history. She interviewed more than a thousand people, and gained access to new data and official records, to write this definitive and vividly dramatic account of how these American journeys unfolded, altering our cities, our country, and ourselves.

Epic and Mind Altering Book
Revisado: 01-31-24
This is my second of Ms. Wilkerson’s books. Simply put, she tells stories that need to be told and she does it well. Brilliant, human, I do not see this era in the same way nor will I again.

Ridiculous, insipid, boring book
Revisado: 01-31-24
I’m sorry but there was nothing of interest to me about the characters or the story. I kept thinking something has to happen but at halfway through, nothing. The reader was very good. I actually felt bad for her. This book should come with a warning all style, no substance.

Matt Goldman should be more careful about who reads his stuff. I could not get past the sing sing quality of the readers voice. Ruined it for me.

It’s a smart author who finds the right voice for her narrative. In both of the Sarah Denzil novels I’ve listened to the narrators were excellent. This is a chilling page turner of a book well worth a listen.

Cartoonish narration spoils book
Revisado: 08-25-23
I could not finish this audiobook because of the annoying, overdone, cartoonish voices employed by this reader. I have no idea if there was a story there being so distracted by bad accents, sing song rhythms and childlike character interpretations. A good reader trusts the material.

A complete waste of time and money
Revisado: 08-14-23
Of the 236 Audible books in my library, this is the absolute worst. It has an inane premise about idiotic bourgeois adult children who are obsessed with money and conspicuous consumerism. They gather in a rich persons idea of paradise for a weekend. Who cares? These are uninteresting characters who do nothing and say nothing of any wit or importance. Audible, you need to better curate your books.
