Intelligent dialogue
Revisado: 07-28-22
I really loved this book. It felt very real and the emotions and dialog were also very clever and heart felt.
Good book, when a lot of lesbian fiction is not so good.

I just hated it! I love P. Cornwell other books with Kay S. but this was just so bad! Sorry but it was! Like others said it was hard to get through it and I won't bother with other books in this series.

Love is Love
Revisado: 11-13-17
This was a great story. It just goes to show you that love is love. Sometimes the best lesbian novels are by straight authors. This is because they know about love and it doesn’t’ matter if the love is between a man and woman or woman and woman it is just love and the emotions.
Great character development as always. I really, really loved this book.

Any additional comments?
book. I really was not sure how much I would enjoy it, as sometimes religious type books gan get a bit preachy. No worries with this book. It is so inspiring. I really liked the way both authors told of their separate but joined experiences on the trail.
I will listen to this book again and again. That is how much I loved it and I know I will get a lot out of it each time I listen to it.

Historia
Nothing is easy about life above the Artic Circle. Except, perhaps, falling in love. Bryson Faulkner embraces the challenges that come with making a home in one of the most beautiful but unforgiving places on earth: the isolation of the endless wilderness, the unpredictable climate, and the most perilous dangers of all----those that await her when she takes to the skies as one of Alaska’s most daring bush pilots.

Good Action
Revisado: 02-13-12
What did you like best about Breaking the Ice? What did you like least?
I liked the descriptions of Alaska???s wilderness. The author did a good job of painting a picture of the scenery. However I felt the love story was a bit contrite. But when you don???t have a lot of lesbian novels to choose from it was okay.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Breaking the Ice?
When they are on the dog sled and looking at the Northen Lights. The authors description made me really want to experience that for myself!
What about Kim Baldwin???s performance did you like?
She did a good job of giving each character their own voice and personality.
She is a good reader.
Was Breaking the Ice worth the listening time?
Yes

Bittersweet indeed
Revisado: 01-21-07
I really enjoyed this book by, Nevada Barr. “Bittersweet”, is told with such vivid, and rich texture. The reader is transported back to a time when being a woman was not all that pleasant. However sad, and heartbreaking, the story may be, the love between Imogene and Sara is so powerful and real, the listener can not help but be pulled into the love. I strongly recommend this book. You will be richly rewarded with memories of strength, and love that can not be denied.
