Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis" parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there"s no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

not the greatest
Revisado: 03-09-23
Took a long time to get into the story about midway through started to really get into the story. Very different ending than normal Stephen King. If Stephen king would stop filling it with his political bias and not kick me out of the story without eye rolls, it would be better

Rough start
Revisado: 12-30-22
I gave up on this the first time around and came back to it after a year. I was a rough start but about half way in the story really started to take off.

profanity
Revisado: 06-20-08
The book is also advertised as an audible kid"s book, but less than two minutes into the story the profanity begins, and is not light though out the book. Other than that I would say the book has a lot of grown up themes and situations and the ending is kind of unresolved. Buyer beware I will not be letting my kids listen to it.

Fr. Dear makes a powerful argument for the support of vegetarianism through Christianity, showing that eating meat supports environmental degradation, poor health, global poverty, and animal abuse, and arguing that each of these is antithetical to Christian living.

Gandhi
Revisado: 05-23-05
This is just sad. The whole concept of his idea for being a vegetarian is Gandhi, who has nothing to do with Christianity. So which is it is he trying to promote Christianity or Buddisaim. This is just a sad way to cover up his political motivations against. He calls for the redistribution of wealth. And that if we just all stop eating meat it will solve the world hunger which is utterly stupid and totally naive. The one versus that he quits is taken out of the full contexts.
