Very cult like. If that's your thing sure. Came for the brain information but that fellt like a catchy title for the Christian perspective. Fellt like stepping into a narrow mind from the 1800s or even earlier. With all the research being done on positive effects meditation has on the brain. Saying it's bad is kinda 2 dimensional.

The books is trash though. No depth, so shallow. It's pretty much stating the obvious on repeat. Feels like an AI written book. There's no clear audience and the speaker address every age in a spray and miss fashion. There's no spirituality. Everything is this is wrong, this is right.. With so many contradictions. Honestly it's been a long time since I've 1 star rated an audiobook. And yes I sped up the speed and finished the book in the hopes it would improve. I'm happy Amazon offers refunds. Don't buy this book if your looking for anything of depth.

I appreciate the author and the content. However, this recording appears to be sourced from an old, choppy cassette. It continuously skips, jumps, and lags, making it impossible to maintain a coherent train of thought due to missing portions. Regrettably, it is a complete waste of money. As someone who genuinely enjoys other books by the same author, I would greatly appreciate this particular book being available in a more audible format. The pun was not intended, but it seems fitting! 📚🎧

The author takes a very negative perspective

The author's perspective on what art is is quite negative. I felt that it was like sitting through a 3-hour lecture find individual who had become pessimistic towards life and was attempting to get others to believe in their confusion in the hopes of rationalizing their state of being. at times I enjoyed a few paragraphs but I was constantly reminded on the closed mindset of the author and felt like turning it off many times. I wouldn't waste my money on this.
