If you think death might be the end, you haven’t read this book. This two book volume contains the author’s bestselling title, “Life After Death, Powerful Evidence You Will Never Die” and the sequel, “Life After Death Book II: Heaven, Hell & You,” thereby revealing what everyone living today needs to know about life after death. Book One lays out indisputable evidence the brain does not create your consciousness, and that when your body dies, your consciousness will be released into a mental realm. It explains what you can expect to experience during the first minutes until you ...

Anyone who wants to understand science and spirituality and what is real needs to listen to this book
Revisado: 11-05-24
First off this is read by AI. I thought for sure I was gonna hate that. Not so! I really liked the voice and the only thing that bothered me was anything older than 1900 was read out like “eighteen hundred and thirty six”. Truly, it’s not a problem. I’ve heard a whole lot worse, sounding books read by actual humans and couldn’t stand to listen to them any longer. This one was really good.
As for the content, I loved it! I have two teenagers, 16 and 18-year-old sons. I’ve already told both of them they need to read this or listen to it. They may not understand it today, but it weaves together what science is discovering and what spirituality has known forever. He does this from a Christian viewpoint, which is extremely important to me. I have a completely different sense of reality when I go to church when I pray when I look to what is real in my everyday life and where I’m going, this book is an amazing guide post for me. Definitely listen to it.

Reincarnation has been part of religious and spiritual teachings for generations. The idea that the human soul develops every time we live another life appeals to our belief that we learn something whenever we are reborn. Karmic debt is often used to describe why bad things happen to good people, and the term Karma has become part of our everyday vocabulary.

I love the way this book is written. It gives a brief overview of a variety of ways to understand and connect to the other side of our spiritual journey. Mari, thank you for researching and writing up a book to help those of us searching for greater connection.

Historia
We never know what will happen next in Florida. We know only that, any minute now, something will. Every few months, Dave Barry gets a call from some media person wanting to know, "What the hell is wrong with Florida?" Somehow, the state's acquired an image as a subtropical festival of stupid, and as a loyal Floridian, Dave begs to differ. Sure, there was the 2000 election. And people seem to take their pants off for no good reason. And it has flying insects the size of LeBron James. But it is a great state, and Dave is going to tell you why.

Where's Dave??
Revisado: 06-10-22
I so hate to leave a bad review for Dave Barry. I have read nearly everything hes ever written. I absolutely love him! I have no doubt that this book is one of his best. However the narration is terrible. I'm sure Dick Hill is a completely decent narrator for another book. The problem is, Dave's books are best heard in his own voice. It makes a difference. The humor is not only the words but in the way he says the words. I hope he reconsiders and rerecords this book in his own voice. I have no problem paying for it twice!

What happens when the President of the United States governs one Tweet at a time? When the elected leader of the free world may not have a firm grasp on the names of government agencies, much less an understanding of their intricate inner-workings? In the days following the 2016 inauguration, government personnel searched for answers that didn’t exist, while White House staff scoured halls for employees who would never be appointed.

Finally someone who understands the federal gvmt
Revisado: 04-25-22
I love this book! He does an outstanding job of describing the amazing people that work in the federal government. I have personally worked 1/2 of my career in the government 1/2 in the private sector. The people I have known and worked with in the federal government are some of the hardest working, most intelligent, honorable individuals I've met. I'm always saddened to hear how critical people are of the federal government and careerists that give their life to making a difference for our country. I only hope someday Americans will appreciate these workers in the same way they appreciate Veterans.

Revisado: 04-02-22
I've always been fascinated by Anthony Bourdain. At 51 years old myself, I relate to so many things things he talks about in this book. His life was such an adventure.. And not just when he was traveling all over the world. He is an amazing storyteller who fully lived his life on his terms. He was anything but perfect but but was perfectly descriptive and transparent about his amazing journey to grow into an amazing person.

Historia
An uproariously funny examination of what one generation can teach to another - or not - from the Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times - best-selling author of You Can Date Boys When You're Forty and Insane City. During the course of living (mumble, mumble) years, Dave Barry has gained much wisdom* (*actual wisdom not guaranteed), and he is eager to pass it on - to the next generation, the generation after that, and those idiots who make driving to the grocery store in Florida a death-defying experience.

Dave makes it all better
Revisado: 08-30-21
I love Dave Barry. I mean really really love him.. Every time I feel out of it or stressed or discombobulated, I can just listen to one of his books and the world is right again. As a 50 year old functional dyslexis rolled functional dyslexic, his books are one of the few types of books I can actually read. Years ago when I traveled for work I would take one of his books and sit at the airport and violently shake so hard that I would almost wet myself from laughing. The way he looks at the world and who he is really resonates with me.
This book is no different. The thing I like about this book is each chapter is relatively short. I can listen to a whole story in the book while I'm in the car headed somewhere. Come to think of it, a lot of his writing works this way this way.
Did I mention I love his work? :)

Revisado: 08-09-21
I'm not even in a bad relationship and I love this book. This is a great reminder of what we deserve as women and as human beings. You're never too old or too deep into a relationship to remember you need to be treated with respect and Greg's books are the absolute best at reminding you of this! Liz is wonderful and completely dead on and about how hard it is to find a good guy when you are a smart, sassy, interesting, amazing woman. And the truth is you will have to settle on a lot of things because there aren't a lot of men that are equivalent to women like this. But you don't have to settle on the minimums they discuss in this book. He may be a bit bald or have a dad bod or have an ex wife or cry at sappy movies or watch too many sports, but you don't have to be with a cheater or someone who strings you along or someone who's critical of you and judges you. Stop looking for the perfect Prince Charming and start to realize truly the things you shouldn't put up with.

Greg and Amira Rock! It looks sounds like it's for much younger audiences but at 50 years old, I found it just to be what I needed in my own life. I struggle with a complex marriage where I'm not sure it's going to work out from day to day. this book helped me to put things in perspective. It helped me see that no matter what happens in the end, I'm going to be okay. It helped me know what to do to be a okay day by day and step by step. These guys are absolutely hilarious together and dare recommendations are spot-on. If you need to feel better and you need a step-by-step friendly guide to how to get through some of the worst pain you'll ever feel, please read this book. Keep it on your audible list and listen to it whenever you feel weak. They will get you through it!

Historia
As Martha Beck says in her book, “Integrity is the cure for psychological suffering. Period.” In The Way of Integrity, Beck presents a four-stage process that anyone can use to find integrity, and with it, a sense of purpose, emotional healing, and a life free of mental suffering. Much of what plagues us—people pleasing, staying in stale relationships, negative habits—all point to what happens when we are out of touch with what truly makes us feel whole.

Even better than the rest!
Revisado: 05-25-21
I always loved Martha Beck. She is an amazing evolved spirit and spiritual teacher. but she outdid herself with this one. The Way of Integrity not only clearly lays out the way to clear your life of painful misconceptions and map your way to deep iand fulfilling happiness, it does it using a story I could never understand - The Devine Comedy. It never ceases to amaze me how spiritually evolved humans have been hundreds and thousands of years ago. the book is beautifully written. Subjects are discussed, examples are given, and exercises are provided to implement these ideas in your life. Nothing is too long or too difficult to implement cleanly in your life. If you've never read her books, this one stands alone and summarizes many of her ideas from previous books. If this is your first book, definitely take the time to go back and read or listened to her other ones as well. All of them are amazing.
