Mesmerizing
Revisado: 10-10-24
This is an inspiring, calm, and all-around great listen by Katie Ledecky. I love that she reads her own book. Highly recommended!

Disorganized and not helpful
Revisado: 10-10-24
This books felt rambling, and unorganized; I don’t feel like I got very helpful recommendations.

Historia
These days, no one in America feels immune to violence. But now, in this extraordinary, groundbreaking book, the nation's leading expert on predicting violent behavior unlocks the puzzle of human violence and shows that, like every creature on earth, we have within us the ability to predict the harm others might do us and get out of its way. Contrary to popular myth, human violence almost always has a discernible motive and is preceded by clear warning signs.

Trust yourself
Revisado: 10-10-24
These stories helped me grasp how and why it’s so important to trust gut intuition. After being raised in a religious environment that encouraged me not to pay attention to feelings and my gut instinct, this book helped me to understand how dangerous and unnecessary it is to believe this. Highly recommended! One of my favorite listens so far from 2024.

Too simplistic and repetitive
Revisado: 11-27-23
I heard a lot of the same things over and over again. It felt too black and white. As an abuse survivor, this book seemed to oversimplify parenting with someone with a personality disorder.
