Having just finished Frailty and The Optician's Wife by the same author, I was a bit worried about the slow start to this book, but well worth continuing to the great second half of the book.

Loved it, like hearing about that era. Cannot help feeling so fortunate growing up in Australia.

Having listed to the first three books in the Thunder Point series, Robyn Carr has the ability to make you feel that you are among friends in each book. Its always nice to if briefly catch up on the characters from the former books.

I enjoyed The Chance with the main characters Laine, who we met in the last book & Eric too. We meet the surly teenager Justin who is struggling hard to keep his family together. Ray Ann has her own little side story.

Looking forward to more from Thunder Point.

What a lovely story. I just could not stop listening and wish it had gone on for much longer. I would make a great movie too.

The narration by Ron McLarty & January LaVoy was wonderful and really drew you into the story.

Definitely recommend this book.

I listened to this book straight after Daniel Annechino's "They Never Die Quietly", which I enjoyed too and encouraged me to purchase Resuscitation as I enjoyed the style of writing from the previous book and the narrator.

The story includes Sami Rizzo who featured in They Never Die Quietly and Resuscitation kicks off two years later after Sami's ordeal. One thing that irritated me (yes I know its a bit petty to mention) is that Sami's daughter was a two year old in They Never Die Quietly" and suddenly after two years she is 6. Now to me 2 2 do not equal 6. I do like it when authors are consistent when the characters are brought forward into the next book but the time line needs to be consistent. I really think the author could not quite remember when events took place as several references to the time when Sami was held captive he had written "almost two years ago" then a bit further along "over two years ago" when referring to the same instance......which was it "almost" or "over" two years.

Other than that irking me throughout the story I did enjoy Resuscitation and thought Christina Traister did a great narration as she has done with others I have purchased with her narrating.

The writer did an excellent job of weaving the material from the FBI into a great story. Never boring.

Excellent insight into the whole Jim Jones Temple of the People and Jonestown mass suicide. Worth going onto Youtube to hear what some of the survivors have to say and also actually hear the "Death Tape" which after reading the book really hits home.

This was a wonderful book filled with amusing moments along with moving moments. The main characters both have things from their pasts they need to overcome and the writer does a great job of slowly healing them both. I love stories set in small country towns and this once certainly didn’t disappoint.

Anthea is different than most heroines simply because she’s a little difficult to empathise with at the start. She’s a bit of a spoiled brat, but once she starts her research on Cole’s farm, she changes into a really great person who I could get behind and barrack for.

Cole is one of the best hero’s I’ve ever encountered in a romance. He’s flawed in more way than one, but he doesn’t let his physical disability stop him from doing what he needs to do to earn a living. I thought a blind hero might make me want to feel sorry for him, but that never happened. He’s strong and independent and the writer has done a great job of making me want him for myself!

I would love to see this adapted for the cinema, it would make an excellent movie.

Overall, I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the next one by Darcy Daniel.

Written from the viewpoint of each character I enjoyed this book as it weaved a story and viewpoint from one character to another in both childhood and as adults.

This is the first Laura Lippman book I have read/listened too and I really enjoyed and I intend to purchase more from this author.

The narrator did a good job as well.

I enjoyed this book, loved all the characters who grew with the story and you felt you really got to know them.

The descriptions of the environment certainly transported you to the coldness and isolation of the situation.

A romance thrown in and a murderer on the loose made for an interesting listen, the writing flowed easily and moved along at a good pace.

The narrator did a good job with the various characters.

I would recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book and the development of characters throughout the book. Its was fast paced all the way through and kept me listening into the wee small hours.

The narrator Amy Rubinate did a great job with the voices and the actual narration of the book.

The book reminded me a bit of Sandra Brown's style of writing.
