The story glorified the Lord and showed that those with autism can come out. It’s a story that demonstrates bullies can also change.

Historia
From a USA Today bestselling author... Sam never understood why Eliza left him five years ago, ghosting him without explanation. He’s avoided romance ever since, focusing on building his business. Money might not keep him warm at night, but it can sure buy a lot of blankets. Then Eliza shows up on his doorstep and throws herself into his arms. She can’t explain her bruises or the head injury that’s left her with no memories of the past five years, including their breakup. No matter how good it feels to hold her, though, there’s no way he’s getting sucked into romance again. ...

Chap 17- until the end were very suspenseful
Revisado: 10-06-24
I do not like virtual voice. It was robotic sounding and “read” some things like apostrophe was read as a word. The story itself was a bit slow for several chapters but about chapters 14 to the end very engaging. The earlier chapters seemed repetitive to me as Sam repeatedly thought Eliza would leave him again.

Historia
When Ramon Simon goes missing, the small town of Fairbury burns with rumors hotter than the sidewalk in July. They’re certain he’s either left his wife, or she killed him (not that they’d blame her). As the weeks pass and the police fail to find answers, things heat up more when Anna Simon disappears, too. If that’s not strange enough, the chief of police orders his officers to leave Anna out of their investigation.

There was so much repetition. Irval was such an interesting character in the Baxter book. In this book she was boring. The characters spent 3/4s of the book going over the same topic—whether they should get tigeth

I enjoyed the characters and story. I like history and listening to the historical back ground of the Dutch settling Minnesota was interesting. The story has several twists that surprised me. I was a bit disappointed in the ending. It fit the story but wasn’t what I would have liked to have happen

Revisado: 02-13-24
This story seemed to take a long time to tell the story. There was a lot of repetition. For instance the main character, Katherine often went off by herself into dangerous situations and Mathias the other main character spent a lot of time trying to locate her. .

Historia
Over the course of 10 Mitford novels, fans have kept a special place in their hearts for Dooley Kavanagh, first featured in At Home in Mitford as a barefoot, freckle-faced boy in filthy overalls. Now, Father Tim Kavanagh's adopted son has graduated from vet school and opened his own animal clinic. Since money will be tight for a while, maybe he and Lace Harper, his once and future soul mate, should keep their wedding simple.

The gentle voice used in reading fit the characters and the story
Revisado: 01-01-24
There was so much humor and love in this story. I’ve read all the previous Mitford books so it was a pleasure reading this one and finding out how Lace and Dooley and the other Mitford characters right down to Esther Bollick still baking the famous OCM cake were getting on. As usual Jan Karon writes uplifting, loving, humorous stories that gently point the way to the Lord.
