Really good!
Revisado: 01-25-19
I really liked this book! I’m more partial to another narrator for Swan’s books, but Clare Corbett was great nonetheless. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I felt there were some unanswered questions, but nothing that makes me unhappy with the way things ended.

The narrator was so good, the history so enthralling, never knowing what was next, thinking I had it figured out but definitely was wrong..sigh. Such a good listen.

'This was where her dreams drifted to if she didn't blot her nights out with drink; this was where her thoughts settled if she didn't fill her days with chat. She remembered this tiny, remote foreign village on a molecular level and the sight of it soaked into her like water into sand, because this was where her old life had ended and her new one had begun.'

Imogen Church has become one of my favorite narrators! The story was fantastic (though I wasn’t expecting to cry) and it was funny and thoughtful and just all around lovely.

What happens in Fiji stays in Fiji. Except when it doesn't. Emma Martens and Nic Wilkinson have no history together except one perfect week. Nothing in common anymore except the most important thing of all. Getting together again would be messy. Complicated. Scary. And, just maybe, worth every risk....

First 3 books were better...
Revisado: 08-13-18
While I enjoyed this boxed set, it didn’t have the pull for me to never stop listening as the first boxed set had. I found myself drifting into other thoughts while listening rather than being rapt. Claire Bocking did a great job as usual, though. I’ll continue listening to Rosalind James of course - and I’d definitely recommend all of her work!

Historia
Margot Cary has spent her life immersed in everything Lake Sackett is not. As an elite event planner, Margot's rubbed elbows with the cream of Chicago society and made elegance and glamour her business. She's riding high until one event goes tragically, spectacularly wrong. Now she's blackballed by the gala set and in dire need of a fresh start - and apparently the McCreadys are in need of an event planner with a tarnished reputation.

Not as good as Molly’s others..
Revisado: 06-26-18
This book was just ok. The main character was not someone I instantly took a liking to...or ever, really. She was ungrateful and kind of a witch to her family. I also felt like there could’ve been a little more character building in the other characters. It sort of felt like the book went so quick to end up where it did. Narration was done well though.

Ainsley O'Leary is so ready to get married - she's even found the engagement ring her boyfriend has stashed away. What she doesn't anticipate is for Eric to blindside her with a tactless breakup he chronicles in a blog - which (of course) goes viral. Devastated and humiliated, Ainsley turns to her half sister, Kate, who's already struggling after the sudden loss of her new husband.

All the Feels
Revisado: 06-17-18
If this is your first Xe Sands/Amy Rubinate narration, their voices might take some getting used to, but once you become accustomed to their unique voices, you’ll really get into the story. They are such great narrators. And the story itself..sigh. So good. Kristan Higgins has quickly jumped to the top of my favorite authors list. This book was emotional and funny and happy and sad and written so well; I really felt connected with the characters. And I LOVE the fact that there was mention/some storyline of a couple characters from a previous book. I’m a happy camper!

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Best narrator I’ve ever listened to
Revisado: 03-22-18
Ok. I’m fully a chick-lit kinda girl. I have never ever read a Stephen King novel, nor seen any of his movies. However. The assassination of JFK has always fascinated me and I decided...why not. I have never been so enthralled in a book before. The narrator was absolutely amazing. His accents were spot on. His various voices didn’t irritate me, because they legitimately sounded like different people (rather than other narrators who do poorly disguising their own voice.) It was so much history (yes, some of the timeline was flubbed, but it’s whatever) but the girly girl in me got a little bit of romance, too. The entire book had me guessing. I thought I knew what would happen, where the story would end up...and I got it so wrong, but yet, I don’t feel incomplete or unsatisfied as I have with other books.

Historia
A festive treat from the author of the best-selling I Heart series. After the crazy six months she's had, if there was a "clear history" button for your life, Tess Brookes would be the first in line to press it. When the opportunity arises to join her best friend, Amy, in New York for Christmas, Tess jumps at the chance. The only slight hitch is that Nick, the man who broke her heart, lives there. And Charlie, the man she turned down, has just started talking to her again.

Can't get enough!
Revisado: 04-20-17
The first book I liked, the second book I liked more and the 3rd book I loved. At first I had a hard time with the author's need to keep me in the dark about situations but I learned to be patient and she wraps everything up nicely in a bow. Can't wait to read more from Lindsey!

Pretty good!
Revisado: 04-06-17
The story was great! And I know it was supposed to be this way, but I don't like that it left things untied. I need to know about Milan or the agency. I need to know about Nick or Charlie. I feel so unsatisfied! The other thing I disliked was the narrator had the same slightly annoying voice for at least 4 characters. Not unlistenable but still quite grating.
