Shawn Inmon is a great storyteller with an intriguing multidimensional perspective. Would love to see more about the universal life center.

Very Relatable

Complicated black folks issues (I’m black so don’t come for me) that created triggers and uncomfortable feelings. Author created very realistic situations in relationships which also addressed very realistic mental health issues stemming from childhood and adulthood trauma. Very relatable. I could have done without the creepy laughing from Linton. It gave me the creeps😊 Sheena has more issues than Vogue! All and all, I enjoyed the journey the author/story carried me on as a listener. Appreciate the DFW knowledge. Would love to hear more from this author.

Pure torture

Agonizingly torturous. Suspenseful. Nail biting. Edge of your seat kind of writing that only Karin Slaughter can bring. FYI: lengthy. But it’s so well written that you can’t turn away. You just have to know what will happen next and how it will end.

Loosing Youself

Too real so much so that it was painful to listen. A lot of us have been in Miko's situation. The reality of her losing herself made me think of the relationships I've neglected in my quest to accept crumbs of attention from one certain person. Not loosing yourself is paramount. The working up to the crux of the story was a bit long. The epilogue really made the book.

CONFLICTED

The narrators were irritating...unable to bring the love from the main two characters to my ears. Ivy's naïveté is worrisome-nerve gratingly so. Her wishy-washiness caused me to want to stop listening to the books. But the author's agonizing way of drawing out the story caused me to want to know what the end held. This book caused great conflict in me...do I continue? or do I call in for a refund? The ending sent me from my building conflict to disappointment–so flat, anticlimactic.
