Great book, not sure about the ending?

Writing, story, narration were all great, but I wouldn’t recommend the book because the ending was anti-climactic!

This was a straightforward love story. If you are looking for a not-complicated, no cliffhangers, or edge of your seat story, than this will work for you. It’s an engaging story without any major drama. The characters are honest and tell it like it is people. It was very refreshing not to have the is she (in this case female lead Stevie) going to tell him or not twist that I was expecting, but rather, she always told him upfront the situation or feelings and let things play out.
The narrators were spot on, and perfect as Stevie and Mark. Tracy Marks has that effortless voice and Aaron Shedlock had the perfect rich tone for Mark.
Definitely glad I picked this one up for a shorter listen and will be looking forward to the next in this series.

So deliciously twisty!!

Wow! This was the perfect break from the monotony of book premises that I’ve listened to lately. The plot was original and the authors laid out the story so well giving you the twists and turns at just the right places. It was written so well and I couldn’t wait to listen everyday. The narrator Julia Whelan was perfect. I think I might do a re-listen immediately.

TM nails it again. I absolutely adore this series and can’t wait for more. I think this was my least anticipated wait in the series but it turned out to be one of the best books. Smoke is hot, untouchable, and just yum. I liked that the female character had some grit. And I really loved the appearance of favorites like preppy and Rage (love that girl)!
This is jump to the front of the TBR listen!

That was Laugh Out Loud, so funny!

Seriously been waiting for a looooong time for another laugh out loud book. Oh my lord, did this book deliver. Hilarious!! Definitely two thumbs up.

Never really peaked.

I feel like the plot would start to peak, and then fall flat. There was a small drama at the end of the book, but the excitement lacked a crescendo.
I read a review that this book was so funny, but I didn't laugh out loud once- not even a chuckle- not sure what that reviewer thought was funny.
The narrator was really good and the book was well written, just not my cup of tea obviously. If you like sweet and simple without a lot of drama then you would probably enjoy this book. I feel like other reviewers did not appropriately represent this book and therefore my expectations were skewed.

Best book in the series yet!!

Another great story and I can't get enough of this series or the McKallister clan. The stories are great, the jokes are funny, and this family is awesome. I want to be an honorary McKallister for just one day!! Emma and Finn are perfect and I love their chemistry. Their banter is sweet and funny. And I loved getting to know more of the family especially during Dad's birthday week (so funny). Also the narrators are fantastic- can't wait to one click the next book- hoping it's Quinn.

A little juvenile for my tastes.

Although this book had moments of hilarity, I think I would recommend this for the later teenage reader. A lot of brother and sister ribbing with very juvenile undertones and the gross factor contributing to most of the jokes.
The narrators did well with the characters and the premise of the story was great, but I got very bored in the middle with the repetitive gas and penis jokes. Just not my cup of tea I guess.

Great as a love story alone, but also made me laugh until I cried.

So glad that I listened to this one as an audiobook as the narrators did a fantastic job portraying these characters!! I had so many laugh out loud moments, most revolving around Paisley's awkward moments, that quickly turned hysterical.
Every time Bellini's chapters came on, I braced myself and made sure I was alone so I didn't accidentally throat punch someone close to me since her little monologues really captured the essence of her self-centered bitchery.
Reece and Paisley have so many intricacies involved in managing their relationship that I was fascinated from the start. I love that Reece is a swimmer and the Olympics scene made me tear up. I felt all the emotions in this book!!
Also I am wondering if the Ms Quinn is setting up for some future stories from some of the secondary characters because there were at least 3 characters that I'd love to hear more from especially fellow swimmer Bodhi.
Loved- seriously everyone needs to hear this audio!!

A rebound from Gus.

I have to be honest that Bright Side is one of my favorite books ever and when Gus came out I was so excited, and then I was kind of let down. I liked Gus, but it was kind of predictable and a little too scripted after the typical romance for me, but Franco was a come back for me. I liked that some of the humor from Bright Side was back and it was a little less of a patterned romance. The wit and sarcasm of these characters were great and I'm glad I finally listened to this. Jeremy York is an awesome narrator and made a great Franco.
