A wonderful exciting read
Revisado: 02-01-23
This is one of the best historical fiction books that I have ever read. I enjoyed reading it, from start to finish. This author writes a great fictional account of how things may have unfolded, and Persia centuries ago. She brought history to life on these pages.

From the age of 14, Caitlin was completely controlled, repeatedly raped, provided with alcohol, given drugs, sold and passed on to new gangs over and over again. The majority of her abusers were Pakistani men, who were blatant in their attacks upon her, often collecting her from school or home, to be taken to flats they owned, family homes, or hotels booked for the day, to be horrifically and systematically abused.

Informative and profound read
Revisado: 09-02-22
This is a well written saga. The author did a great job telling her story. This read is highly informative and extremely profound. It is a must read. Warning: strong language and explicit descriptions of sex. Do not judge the book harshly for this if you are a strong conservative individual. This is how her story needed to be told.
To the author,
Thank you for sharing your story. You are not alone even if you feel you are sometimes. You have truly spoken for women that are enduring the same hell that you endured for years. Thank you! Stay strong. And please, let the guilt go for the many abortions that you had. I say this to you as a pro-life individual. Hold your head up high because you did the best that you could do. Everything that you did, you did with a mother‘s heart.

Great book, excellent read and good listen
Revisado: 12-22-21
I really enjoyed reading this book even though it made me cry. I lived right along with this character, the last couple of months with my mother. The character of the story got to have a great experience and the author leaves you with the question in your own mind, what if…? This story is beautifully written. I want to thank the author for the experience I had reading this book. It is one of the best books I have read this year. This is a must read for anyone who has lost a loved one and lives with guilt or regret. I would recommend it for anyone having trouble letting go as well.

A strange phenomenon is sweeping the globe. People are having visions, seeing angels, experiencing events that defy reality. Bizarre accounts pour in from distant places: a French teenager claims to have witnessed Joan of Arc being burned at the stake; a man in New York dies of malnutrition in a luxurious Central Park apartment; a fundamentalist Christian sect kidnaps and murders a geneticist.

Historia
Memories are the ultimate contradiction. They can warm us on our coldest days - or they can freeze a loved one out of our lives forever. The McCarthy family has a trove of warm memories. Of innocent first kisses. Of sumptuous family meals. Of wondrous lessons learned at the foot of a rocking chair. But they also have had their share of icy ones. Of words that can never be unsaid. Of choices that can never be unmade. Of actions that can never be undone.
