Historia
Daniel Carter used to be a homicide detective, but his last case - the hunt for a serial killer - went wrong in strange ways and soured the job for him. Now he's a private investigator trying to live a quiet life. Strangeness, however, has not finished with him. First, he inherits a bookstore in Providence from someone he's never heard of, along with an indignant bookseller who doesn't want a new boss.

To be continued...?
Revisado: 09-09-20
Not a bad story. Easy to follow and great clear language. Characters likeable and root for them through this journey. Ending felt a little rushed. Not sure if the writer ran out of gas by the end. Or maybe there will be another book to continue the adventure.

Historia
They called it the Event. The Event changed everything. The earthquakes came first, including the Big One, shattering the Pacific Rim and plunging the world into chaos. Then, the seas came, the skies opened, and the never-ending rain began. But as bad as that was, there is something worse.

Dark Future
Revisado: 09-09-20
Dang... unique mosaic of stories that carry the Lovecraftian concept of the rise of the ancient one in our modern day. If you are fascinated with the lore and a “what if” situation play out then this is a book with you. It is definitely of a survivor piece.

In this must-listen book for anyone striving to succeed, pioneering psychologist Angela Duckworth shows parents, educators, students, and businesspeople - both seasoned and new - that the secret to outstanding achievement is not talent but a focused persistence called "grit". Why do some people succeed and others fail? Sharing new insights from her landmark research on grit, MacArthur "genius" Angela Duckworth explains why talent is hardly a guarantor of success.

Simply wow
Revisado: 04-26-17
This book is at once inspiring and thought provoking. Professor Duckworth uses relevant and sound research to concisely lay out the definition, meaning and possible ways grit is developed. Very refreshing to learn more about how we can be a better person.

This book is worth listening to over and over
Revisado: 02-26-17
First of all. You need to know this is a perspective and attitude shifting book. Yes it is on sales but if you are going to be the best in sales, it's like a chain reaction, you will also have to be the best version of you.
Jeffrey reads his own book so you hear his words and it's his advice and strategies he has used and obviously seen success in.
As I reiterate it's a book that will support your sales growth. You still have to do all the hard work, btw.
