Historia
As a botanist and professor of plant ecology, Robin Wall Kimmerer has spent a career learning how to ask questions of nature using the tools of science. As a Potawatomi woman, she learned from elders, family, and history that the Potawatomi, as well as a majority of other cultures indigenous to this land, consider plants and animals to be our oldest teachers.

where science, poetry, and spirit unite
Revisado: 07-06-20
This is one of the most beautifully written science/philosophy books I've ever listened to. The author/narrator has such a beautiful poetic cadence not only to her writing, but her spoken delivery. every image, sound, taste, texture and smell were immediate, and many passages made me hungry. The ecological science mixed with the spiritual relationships with nature is one of the most important things anyone could learn right now especially those going into the biological fields. I wish I'd had her as my biology teacher.

No one writes about science quite like him. The epilogue will make you cry.
The narrator for the majority of the book is smooth; a real hot to listen to.

Historia
Low-level entertainment lawyer Nick Carter thinks it's a prank, not an alien encounter, when a redheaded mullah and a curvaceous nun show up at his office. But Frampton and Carly are highly advanced (if bumbling) extraterrestrials. And boy, do they have news. The entire cosmos, they tell him, has been hopelessly hooked on humanity's music ever since "Year Zero" (1977 to us), when American pop songs first reached alien ears. This addiction has driven a vast intergalactic society to commit the biggest copyright violation since the Big Bang.

Historia
How does the brain generate a conscious thought? And why does so much of our knowledge remain unconscious? Thanks to clever psychological and brain-imaging experiments, scientists are closer to cracking this mystery than ever before. In this lively book, Stanislas Dehaene describes the pioneering work his lab and the labs of other cognitive neuroscientists worldwide have accomplished in defining, testing, and explaining the brain events behind a conscious state.

good story

I had no issues with the story. The narrator was perfect. I will note however that when using headphones, I could hear a TV or cars in the background of the recording.
anyone who enjoys high fantasy should invest their time with this series.

great story
Revisado: 09-15-17
if you are a reader Who Loved The Last Unicorn, then you will love this book. It is a fantastic fantasy set in a time and place with vaguely medieval towns. There are witches, dragons ancient stories, and stories modern to the time period of the book, all present at the same time. my only comment about the performance of this audiobook is that changing the voice for each character was very distracting. Aside from that, it was a very well performed and very interesting story, and I recommend it to everyone.
