The plan: To steal a priceless elven manuscript that once belonged to her family, but is now in the hands of the most powerful man in the Republic. To do so, Loch - former soldier, former prisoner, and current fugitive - must assemble a crack team of magical misfits that includes a cynical illusionist, a shape shifting unicorn, a repentant death priestess, a talking magical war hammer, and a lad with seemingly no skills.

Nice and Cozy
Revisado: 04-06-16
The mystery was not that complicated due to the lack of suspects. The story is able to build the right atmosphere though and that makes it a very likeable read!

Simon Vance and Fantasy!
Revisado: 03-26-16
Almost constant listening over the long weekend! The story was 90% there, though could have been better on the overall war details. Loved the narrator! Confused now...who is better - Michael Kramer or Simon Vance, for Fantasy!

Historia
With The Alloy of Law, Brandon Sanderson surprised listeners with a New York Times best-selling spinoff of his Mistborn audiobooks, set after the action of the trilogy, in a period corresponding to late 19th-century America. The trilogy's heroes are now figures of myth and legend, even objects of religious veneration. They are succeeded by wonderful new characters, chief among them Waxillium Ladrian, known as Wax, hereditary lord of House Ladrian.

A weekend well spent listening
Revisado: 10-11-15
Michael Kramer is brilliant for the darker parts but a little unconvincing for younger voices.

An Interesting Beginning
Revisado: 09-01-15
Mystery could have been developed better... Motives were mostly stumbled upon rather than discovered. Still... good characters and superb setting

Historia
In the bar-parlor of the Angler’s Rest, Mr. Mulliner tells his amazing tales, holding the assembled company of Pints of Stout and Whiskies and Splash in the palm of his expressive hand. Here you can discover what happened to the man who gave up smoking, share a frisson when the butler delivers something squishy on a silver salver (“Your serpent, Sir,” said the voice of Simmons) - and experience the dreadful unpleasantness at Bludleigh Court. Throughout, the Mulliner clan remains resourcefully in command in the most outlandish situations.

Jonathan Cecil & P.G. Wodehouse - Superb!
Revisado: 05-16-15
Nobody brings Wodehouse to life as Jonathan Cecil does. The subtle punches and not so subtle descriptions by Wodehouse are superbly expressed.

The Magi are hell-bent on ruling this new world, and for the last two Moontides they have led armies across the bridge on "crusades of conquest". Now, the third Moontide is almost here, and this time the people of the East are ready for a fight... but it is three seemingly ordinary people that will decide the fate of the world.

Disappointing Story
Revisado: 05-04-15
An extra star for the narrator. The story is like an American spy novel with Sinister gangs and lucky coincidences. Not golden age Detective Fiction at all.
