This is a cute grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract romance. It is a quick read/listen and the audio aspect of this one was great. There were several pauses that got a bit distracting but the narrators were absolutely amazing!!! Definitely recommend for a quick, sweet romance.

Audiobook review: narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Marie Hawkins

This was such a fun listen. I really appreciated the way it started, with a bit of backstory from both characters, that helped with character progression through the story. The plot was great with a relatable storyline and characters that are so lovable. Brandon was great and the way he wanted to just be normal had my heart breaking for him. Holly was a mess but in all the best ways. I liked that "real-world" things happened quite frequently. The relationship wasn't automatic and while they were still friends, they had to endure some things that were hard and it felt real.

The narrators were absolutely amazing. I could literally listen to Teddy Hamilton read anything, but give him a character like Brandon, and all the emotional ups and downs he experiences, and he is at his best. Marie Hawkins was new to me, but she blew me away. The way she performed the different female characters, in particular Anna, was nothing short of brilliant. Add in the duet style narration and this was a no-brainer recommendation.

Amazing performance for a great story!!

Audiobook review: narrated by Ryan Lee Dunlap and Vivienne La Rue

This book was as heat inducing as all the rest but was also surprisingly sweet as well. I have enjoyed this series immensely and this book just maybe one of my favorites. Saxon has finally come into his own and in a big way. Haisley was such a strong character and I just wanted to hug her all throughout. I loved the suspense and the plot was just as exciting as the previous books.

The audio performance was top tier. Both narrators brought these characters to life in a big way. The accents were on par and the emotions were portrayed so organically. These two embraced these roles so thoroughly it was easy to get lost in the story. Absolutely loved this is duet style!!

Perfect autumn vibes!!

The setting of this book is perfect for the beginning of the season. This is one of the best grumpy/sunshine books I've read/listened to. Finn is the ultimate broody MMC. Oakley is sweet to her core. Putting these two together in a forced proximity situation lit a spark and it flamed bright! The story itself was a fun one. We get a bit of ex-drama, fun family banter all in the perfect small town setting.

The audio performances were phenomenal. These two narrators are top tier and are instant listens for me. The ease at which they can provide dialect for multiple characters, and we have no problem differentiating between them, is what makes a great audiobook performance. I can't wait to continue this series on audio.

Lived up to the hype!!

I have seen great things about this book and was a little nervous to start it, but boy did it live up to the hype! Such a great group of main characters. The plot was multi layered and flowed so well. Even though the storyline branched off in ways I wasn’t expecting, it felt natural, and nothing felt rushed. Every one of the MCs brought their own unique qualities to the relationship and the dynamic between all four was explosive!!

I am so glad I choose to listen to this on audio!!! The performances were outstanding. The full cast narration had me glued to this story and I finished it in a day because I literally could not turn it off. The emotions were elevated and I could see some of these scenes playing out almost as if I was watching it on screen!

One thousand percent do recommend!!!

Another amazing audio installment

Audiobook review: narrated by Logan Anare and Lexi Evans
This series is full of wonderful characters and exciting plots. This one was amazing in large part due to a powerfully independent and fierce FMC. Priscilla/Pashta is a survivor turned warrior that I was rooting for from the very start. Riordan’s character was well balanced between an alpha protective MMC and a supportive partner allowing his woman to shine. I love the struggle each goes through as their relationship progresses. Once again we see how important family is as they all work together to look out for each other and their partners.
Wonderful narration with a wide range of accents. Both narrators really brought the emotions to the forefront and performed this story so well. I have Ben loving this series on audio!!

Great story / Amazing performances

Even though this story starts off with a bang (quite literally) it turns into a super emotional, angsty slow-burn. Row is the ultimate broody, grumpy, arrogant MMC but lays it all down for Cal. She, on the other hand, is such a fun, awkward, easy to love FMC who is a self-proclaimed agoraphobe and downright terrified to enter into any type of romantic relationship. In other words, these two characters are the perfect combination for a romance that will keep you turning pages for hours on end. Add in some side characters that will also having you falling in love (Dylan and Kieran anyone), a light-hearted (kinda) mystery that gets a bit too exciting, and this is a must-read book! I cannot wait to see what's coming up next from LJ Shen and I am just hoping we get some updates on the future Row and Cal.

The performance of this audiobook was so well done I could not turn it off!! Both narrators put on such an impressive performance, not only when voicing their main characters, but also when acting out their counterparts and any additional side characters. I truly felt like everyone had their own unique personality and it was portrayed perfectly by each of them!!

Best of the series!

I have read every one of the Summer Series books and have been a fan from the first one, but this last book is my favorite by far. Harrison and Daisy are amazing together. His internal monologue brought such a fun layer to an otherwise serious character. Daisy was such a light-hearted, beautiful soul and they play off each other so well. The banter between these two had me laughing out loud. The character progression was so well done and provided a well rounded feel to the book. The story itself was brilliant and evolved so fluidly I had a hard time turning it off. It is easily one of the best, most emotional, age-gap romances I've ever read/listened to.

One million stars to both these narrators. They brought so much life to these characters and every single emotion was brought forward so well I truly felt connected to these two. The duet narration is my favorite because it adds an entertainment value to the books that I crave and appreciate.

Bust out your fans!

This series has taken me by surprise and Trev and Gypsi's story continues to prove why. While Trev is very anti-relationship, it's clear he has a strong connection to his (maybe) future step sister right from the start. Gypsi is so easy to love because she is so unselfish, even when it puts herself in danger. She has some major ex-drama and tries so hard to keep it from those around her while trying to deny this attraction she has to Trev. I really enjoyed the tension and the underlying secrets. Watching Trev's walls crumble was not always pleasant but made for some decent drama during the story. Expect some heat!! Gypsi is definitely the star of the show when it comes down to the physical aspects of this one!!

The audio performance was great. Both voice actors captured the emotions of their perspective characters well. They also were great at differentiating between side characters enough to avoid any confusion while listening. I can't wait for Saxon to get his story!!

Fun and romantic

Audiobook review: Narrated by a full cast in duet style
4 stars for story / 5 stars for performance

This is such a fun and romantic story. Danielle has an interesting and highly visible situation happen at a hockey game and it brought the attention of several men affiliated with the team. What follows is a fast and furious relationship that was fun to read. There is such a diverse group of characters who are all easy to love and root for. The dynamic between all four was entertaining with plenty of witty banter and some scenes that had me laughing out loud. The spice is also spicing!!

Listening to this on audio was such a fun experience. Duet style is my favorite style, but when you add in such a talented full cast of narrators, it just elevates the entertainment factor. The banter and fun scenes just hit different when the narrators put so much emotion into their performances and this is a prime example of that.
