This book was so relevant to the current state of masculinity in America. I loved everything about this book. John's unapologetic approach in addressing the concerns of manhood, & being an intentional husband & father were spot on in my view. I also love his unapologetic love for Christ. To be what is needed as a man, we cannot allow this world to shape our worldview but strive to seek truth through pathetic philosophical lense of reason. I have always raised my boys to have compassion for others but be dangerous. This world's job is to beat you down & eventually kill you, so find and fight for that transcendent cause in your life and invest in those in your sphere of influence to make your bride and your children feel loved & valued. Investing in them with intention is the best gift you can leave the future. Great book. I will be adding this to my all of my son's reading list. This book is a call to action for all men.

A revitalized appreciation

The Princess Bride has been one of mine and my bride's all-time favorite movies. The way Cary Elwes recounts not only his love of making the movie but his love for everyone on set, and the behind the scenes stories have given me a resurrected appreciation for this cinematic masterpiece.

I loved listening to "Wesley" regale me with many of the out takes and behind the scenes nuances of what it took to bring such an amazing cast and director together to make a movie that has had a legacy that has spanned two generations (with my family) and gives us a beautiful connection that shows my son's after decades of being married to their mother, what true love is.

This movie is a reminder that there is still something beautiful and wholesome worth fighting for in this world, and this book has given me a reason to fall in love with the movie all over again. Bravo!

His story was what I needed.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book, but it was just what I needed to hear in the place I currently find myself in. I loved the unapologetic transparency and vulnerability Matthew displays in his book. It was read with an enthusiasm that could only be conveyed by the man who lived it. I laughed, I contemplated, and I couldn't wait to hear the next adventure, which inspired me to want to live with everything I have. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone who is feeling "stuck" in life or seeking an example of what it looks like to live and love with everything you have. I can't wait to listen to this book again.

inspiring practical ways to direct your thoughts.

It's inspiring to know that through intention and discipline and prayer you can intentionally change the course of your thoughts. I love how Craig backs up what he says with scientific and biblical truth. Anyone who has ever struggled with a negative thought should read this book.

Should be required reading.

This book is a living reminder of how fragile our lives and our freedoms truly are. One of the greatest gifts we all have is the gift of our imaginative freedom. Like the Phoenix, we are often tempted by the desire to build our pyre and set it ablaze even though we have the gift of history which begs us to avoid the mistakes that lead the need to be cleansed of of those mistakes.

in a world of canceled culture this book inspires you to resist the indoctrination of a man's design. we have been given a gift and a responsibility to live up to what our creator has charged us to be. this book is a great reminder to resist a culture and Play The Man.

Concise explanation of spiritual warfare.

Concise explanation of the parallels between physical and spiritual warfare. The author breaks down and corrects many misconceptions that many people have concerning spiritual warfare. Weber is a great warrior in both the physical realm and the spiritual realm. I am grateful there are men like him leading the charge for the kingdom of God.

I can vouch for some of the things in this book. Just knowing the greed of human nature, it's not a stretch to believe the things talked about here are at least probable.

In the begging, I believed the author was an automated author. It was a little off putting, but I became comfortable with it. It was a relatively quick read. Even if you don't believe what it written, it is quite entertaining.

The book will make you consider the times we're in

Overall, great story. I enjoyed how the author weaved together several stories into the theme. There are obviously some inaccuracies concerning the Rangers, but considering the author wasn't one, they can be overlooked. I love how the reality of faith and questioning is discussed in an open manner that everyone can relate to. Can't wait to start the second in the 4 part series.
