Historia
Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Very well done...

I was extremely happy with this audio version of the classic Ender's Game. The voice of the main character took a bit of time to get into but I eventually accepted it as Ender. I could listen to this one over and over.
The extra portion from Orson Scott Card at the end of the story was great as well. Highly recommended.

Historia
In her first novel since 2002, Nebula and Hugo award-winning author Connie Willis returns with a stunning, enormously entertaining novel of time travel, war, and the deeds - great and small - of ordinary people who shape history. In the hands of this acclaimed storyteller, the past and future collideand the result is at once intriguing, elusive, and frightening.

Could not finish this one...

What was the point of this story? It seems like the first half of the book is entirely an exercise in scheduling, and complaining about the schedule, oh and complaining about the available wardrobe. I never could get into this story as much as I tried.
The voice actors were great though and the accents seemed spot on.

Historia
Calliope Reaper-Jones so just wanted a normal life: buying designer shoes on sale, dating guys from Craig’s List, web-surfing for organic dim-sum for her boss. But when her father - who happens to be Death himself - is kidnapped, and the Devil’s Protege embarks on a hostile takeover of the family business, Death, Inc., Callie returns home to assume the CEO mantle - only to discover she must complete three nearly impossible tasks in the realm of the afterlife first.

Hard to listen to...
Revisado: 04-06-11
There's not much to like about this main character. She is immature and, at many points, dumb beyond belief. The continuous internal monologues are very repetitious and formulaic. I found myself rolling my eyes every five minutes. The author's voice is great for the female characters, but terrible for everyone else, fawn included. There were some funny and thoughtful moments, but not enough to warrant even a middle rating.
