Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Interesting read
Revisado: 04-21-24
This book is well written and engaging. There wasn’t really a big reveal about Hollywood or anything like that which I appreciated. It’s just someone telling their life story, simply and to the point

Interesting
Revisado: 01-18-21
Though I think Hunger Games fans could have lived without it, It’s very good! I actually really liked the story and how it fits with the trilogy that proceeded it. Learning about the war, the early games, and how much things changed was fascinating. Snow is a strangely intriguing man, with complex thoughts and views. Not all love stories have a holy ending but choices are key to most incidents. Priority and lifestyle will effect how things go in your life. This book has a lot of these same themes.

Historia
The fifteenth fostering memoir by Cathy Glass. Danny was petrified and clung to me in desperation as I carried him to my car. Trapped in his own dark world, he couldn't understand why his parents no longer loved or wanted him and were sending him away. While Danny's parents have everything they could wish for in material terms, they are unable to care for their only child. This is where Cathy comes in.

Another masterpiece in my opinion
Revisado: 12-31-20
I love Cathy Glass books. This one is very unique to others I have read. The boy is similar to my own brother so it hit home a hit. I wish my brother had someone like Cathy in his life when he was younger. He suffers much as an adult and needs a lot of attention. Thank goodness he can live alone and do for himself. I’m sure Danny is able to as well. I can’t wait to share this book with my siblings.

one of the best love stories
Revisado: 03-06-19
This story is one of the best live stories I have read. If this couple was real, I would think they would probably get married eventually and it would be disappointing if they didn't. I wouldn't mind if it ends here but I kinda want more

Historia
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. The Fault in Our Stars is insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw. It brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

amazing
Revisado: 12-01-18
This book was a great book. I loved it. the characters were great. I think the author gave enough information for us not to wonder what happened after. we know Hazel will die, as unfortunate as as the fact is, not long after. It's a matter of time. we know Gus' parent will eventually be okay. They have their daughters grandchildren to love. And the memory of their son will be there, even if he is not. Hazel's parents shared their plan. I like that he did this, because I would have wondered. I feel sorry for the author of "An Imperial Affliction" more than anything. The character was a broken man. And even though the way he acted when they came to his house was unacceptable I can forgive that, even if Hazel could not. He tried to make it up. I feel for him.

worst book I have ever attempted to read
Revisado: 11-07-18
Too many potholes, contradicting aspects storyline, and way too fast. There was no time relationship developed between Hunter and Nora. I felt like I was reading a book written by a fifteen-year-old Twilight fan. She's a stick to an idea when writing instead of jumping around everywhere. There were certain Concepts that would have worked had the writer allowed the story to develop at a better place and if there we're not so many things in the story that made no sense or that count addicted other portions of it. If you're going to have characters that are 400 years old talking then you need to use the dialogue properly. And there were times when the world was thinking where she was using language that a 17 year old not use. I can complain more but I think I'll just leave it at that.

Historia
Jeremy Simms watches from the porch of the general store as the passengers board the weekly bus from Jackson. When several white passengers arrive late, the driver roughly orders the black passengers off to make room. Then, in the driving rain, disaster strikes, and Jeremy witnesses a shocking end to the day's drama. Set in Mississippi in the 1930s, this is a gripping story of racial injustice.
