Total waste of time and money!
Revisado: 10-21-24
The book is extremely inaccurate and misleading. The information that the author presents is incorrect. He tries to tie together, correlations of things that aren’t even proven, and most of the time he’s just reaching for things that aren’t there. You would have to see the world through conspiracy theory glasses, and wearing your tinfoil hat to the 10th power to even believe the things that this guy saying. I fact checked a lot of the information in this book and found it to be erroneous. I’m surprised audible even sells this trash.

Historia
The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingway's most enduring works. Told in language of great simplicity and power, it is the story of an old Cuban fisherman, down on his luck, and his supreme ordeal, a relentless, agonizing battle with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf Stream. Here Hemingway recasts, in strikingly contemporary style, the classic theme of courage in the face of defeat, of personal triumph won from loss.

Excellent Story, Donald Sutherland reading was phenomenal!
Revisado: 09-10-24
One of the best written stories, I grew up in a fishing family with my grandfather teaching me how to fish, my grandfather like San Pedro in the Old Man Of The Sea would go tooo far in a 12 foot Duranautic John boat with a 35 horse Evinrude kicker (engine) it was the 1970s and the US Coast Guard would try to discourage us. I’ve been through some very harrowing experiences and definitely identified with the boy and the old man. This is a must read, Donald Sutherland did an excellent job reading the story!

Historia
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Michael York should stick to the stage and leave narration to the pros.

Historia
Verging on death, a starving, destitute writer navigates the cold and indifferent city of Kristiania in search of his next meal. Frenzied and fevered, he chews on stale bread, devours scraps of wood, and bites his own finger, sleeping under the stars in old, pungent blankets, until one day he is able to sell an article and buy some food - only for the cycle then to repeat itself....

In 1985 while waiting to see Black Flag I was hanging out with Henry Rollins, he was reading “Hunger” by Knut Hamsun. I wish I would of read it then. It was thoroughly enjoyable! I loved the reader they picked to read the book!
