A nasty story but intriguing nevertheless. Sarah Denzil is such a good writer that she grabs you from the first page even though nothing has really happened yet; we are just getting to know her characters and she's setting the scene. It is easy to picture the scene and characters in every chapter of her books even though we're not given definitive descriptions. I loved and hated this trilogy at the same time. Hated for the relentless evil of the Fielding family, and naive goodness of our main character Leah. Enjoy the ride.

I love Dean Koontz; he writes from the heart. And yes, the writing was excellent, but the story itself could have been told in one chapter, and lacked depth and strength. There was a lot of detail about places, people, memories, dogs, and wolves that took up most of the book. Consequently, the book lacked balance between the story and the detail. The narrator, January Le Voy, was as usual excellent and saved my 4 star rating from becoming 3.

I listened to the audiobook, purchased from Audible. The Shallows is an astonishingly good thriller, by first time author, Holly Craig. well performed by Aussie, Tamala Shelton. The book started calmly but soon the suspense picked up to a surprisingly thrilling pace, increasing as the book progressed. The main character, Emma tells us the story in the first person; her character well defined and completely believable. I thoroughly recommend the audiobook.

Keeps you guessing!! Brave Alice Feeney for choosing to write such and unusual story and pulling it off. For me it was a little bit draggy to start but once I was into it, I was swept away. I never saw any of the twists coming and was awed by Feeney's imagination and skill at bringing this story together. Narration was perfect, always is from Armitage. Well done Alice F.; thoroughly recommend.

I couldn't put this down and sadly, it was over far too quickly. This means I will have to wait at least another year before I get to listen to another great book from the writing duo: Preston & Child. Such imaginations they both have, these Pendergast books are so unique and excitingly creative. The narrator Jefferson Mayes; as usual did a marvelous job bringing the book to life with his mellifluous voice.

because of the multiple plots none could be fleshed out particularly well and thus it was an unsatisfying experience. The narrator did well, considering the continual chops and changes of characters and plots.

Annie May (not Anni Taylor) your first book was an absolute winner from the 1st page. Your descriptive narrative enabled me to picture this story as if it was a film and, gee, what a great film it would make. The production was brilliant and seamless and every actor was excellent. I can hardly wait until June, when, apparently your second book will be published, Audible you did well with this.

I loved this book from the brilliant story teller, John Marrs, and narrated beautifully by Peter Noble. I think Marrs' unique books are amongst the best of his generation, if you're into interesting characters, imaginative plots with plenty of unexpected twists and turns, then you must read or listen to this book; one of the best.

Not your usual domestic thriller. Quite a unique tale told brilliantly by the writer and the narrator. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I wish all other were as good and satisfying as this. Completely recommend this to all readers of mystery thrillers.
