Historia
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets 16-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

It might be better to actually read this.

The story is great. The narrator is not good.

The narrators accents are cringeworthy at times, especially the British ones. The story is really strong, performance is weak.

Historia
It was never supposed to be this close. And of course she was supposed to win. How Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump is the tragic story of a sure thing gone off the rails. For every Comey revelation or hindsight acknowledgment about the electorate, no explanation of defeat can begin with anything other than the core problem of Hillary's campaign - the candidate herself.

Very good book

I was not, and am not a supporter of HRC, and knew from the reviews that the authors were sympathetic towards her campaign. They were but that didn’t take away from the quality of the book and the insights it had to offer.

Incredible book.
Revisado: 04-16-18
Would you listen to The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich again? Why?
I would. There is so much to listen to in this book that it probably needs multiple readings to take in the whole thing.
Who was your favorite character and why?
This is not really a good question for this audible book. This is a historical account of one of the worst moments in world history. This book focused heavily on the NAZI's and none of them were likable.
My favorite person of this time period is without a question Winston Churchill.
Which character – as performed by Grover Gardner – was your favorite?
This is not really a good question for this book. It doesn't really fit.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. The book is 57 hours long. The subject is not a happy one and a break at points is needed.
Any additional comments?
This book is very good. The easily offended crowd may not like some of the statements of the author. Mr. Shirer was definitely writing from the perspective of his age, in some circumstances.

Historia
At the outset of World War II, Denmark did not resist German occupation. Deeply ashamed of his nation's leaders, 15-year-old Knud Pedersen resolved with his brother and a handful of schoolmates to take action against the Nazis if the adults would not. Naming their secret club after the fiery British leader, the young patriots in the Churchill Club committed countless acts of sabotage, infuriating the Germans, who eventually had the boys tracked down and arrested. But their efforts were not in vain.

Very Good Book.
Revisado: 04-14-18
The story being told was very, very good. The only negative to it was the performance of the guy that spoke as Knud Pederson. He was a bit obnoxious.
