Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

Espectacular read
Revisado: 11-02-16
Personal, incisive, honest and exposing. I enjoyed every single story and the connections that each patient had with my own fears, shame, anger and disappointments. Yalom's candid observations about himself were so meaningful as well. Wow...What a gift of a book!

Surprisingly good and thought provoking
Revisado: 04-10-15
I know it's not Sartre but I did enjoy to be reminded of the important things in life and relationships. I loved the narration by Amy and the other people. I would recommend the audio version over the written one a thousand times. Funny, random and lovely. one of the most enjoyable books I've heard on the road while I go to work.

Amazing Performance by Anne Hathaway
Revisado: 03-02-15
I really don't get all the criticism of Anne's performance in other reviews. I think it was awesome that she gave a different voice to each character in such a fun and even funny way. The book is a classic and worth listening. I found myself going back just to hear her do a character again. Yes, it's theatrical, but just like a good kid's story teller would do it. I wish Anne did this more often...

Worst book and narrator ever
Revisado: 12-13-14
This is the worst book I've read in a long time. The valley girl narrator gets on my nerve so bad that it makes the writing sound even worst. Save yourself and move along.

Historia
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. The Fault in Our Stars is insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw. It brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Historia
It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily...BUT WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO LIVES LIKE THAT? DO YOU?

Pretty good but one very important thing lacking
Revisado: 05-21-13
This is an great book, specially for "lukewarm" christians or people that feel that they want to take their faith to the next level.
One fundamental thing is lacking: Bible verses. Don't get me wrong, I think everything he says is very biblical, but the word of God is the one that "is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Heb 4:12)
So if you are writing a book to help people change their way of living and being true christians (maybe that should be the name of the book, instead of radical...what he proposes is plain old true christianity!) you may want to tell people where in the Bible can they read this ideas and and let the word do the most important job. Specially since, like I said in the beginning, this book seems more for people that don't know the Bible much in the first place.
All an all, a good read and challenging one. I would recommend it.

Historia
Her name was Henrietta Lacks, but scientists know her as HeLa. She was a poor Southern tobacco farmer who worked the same land as her slave ancestors, yet her cells - taken without her knowledge - became one of the most important tools in medicine: The first “immortal” human cells grown in culture, which are still alive today, though she has been dead for more than 60 years. HeLa cells were vital for developing the polio vaccine; uncovered secrets of cancer, viruses, and the atom bomb’s effects.

Interesting but a bit redundant
Revisado: 05-21-13
The book is worth listening to. But I doubt I would do it again, I think it was a bit longer than it needed to, specially towards the end. The background story, the science facts, the experimenting with human tissue and ethics are very interesting subjects and makes it worth the read.
