This was such a delight to listen to, and it’s one that I’ll return to. Sincerely and very disappointed that Disney won’t be continuing the series, as this has proved that there are a wealth of stories left to bet old in the Buffyverse.

Which character – as performed by Barbara Kingsolver – was your favorite?

I think anyone who listens will immediately think of Kingsolver's performance of Ovid. Certainly, it was entertaining and interesting to hear Kingsolver perform what she was undoubtedly hearing as she wrote the words.

As far as my favorite character, I'd have to go with Dovey. Oh, Dovey.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There is a sheep birthing scene that is particularly moving. Kingsolver has a talent for making the potentially mundane meaningful.

What does Amber Benson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I'm not sure that just any narrator could have gotten Callie's voice right. Amber is an actress (let's many of admit that we came to Amber's book because we're fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and she makes Callie likable.

Any additional comments?

Lots of mythologies, delightful descriptions, and even a decent plot twist!

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Stiller's performance is good. The story, however, has never been one of my favorites (the movie adaptation was a pleasant surprise); hearing Stiller read it made it bearable. I'd say it's worth a free 15 minute listen, but I'm glad I didn't spend money on it.
