Historia
Harlem, 1926. Young Black women like Louise Lloyd are ending up dead. Following a harrowing kidnapping ordeal when she was in her teens, Louise is doing everything she can to maintain a normal life. She’s succeeding, too. She spends her days working at Maggie’s Café and her nights at the Zodiac, Harlem’s hottest speakeasy. Louise’s friends, especially her girlfriend, Rosa Maria Moreno, might say she’s running from her past and the notoriety that still stalks her, but don’t tell her that.

Really sis!
Revisado: 03-07-21
This book is a fever dream of Hotep crazy! I tried, but at this point I need who ever wrote the Coldest Winter Ever to just come on out of the shadows . Because Sistah Souljah may have been in the same room as the author of the 1st book. She may have been providing moral support and snacks but she did not write that book...aint no way.
If not Sis owed some money on a light bill or to a loan shark, because the only way she let this be released is because money was owed and she was in danger.
Demon and Dog sex? No trigger warnings nothing. Just out here giving the kids toxic imagery and problematic prose like candy.
Sis was just throwing in whatever weird imagery she thought would make her look deep while she was constantly shaming the reader. I am sorry no matter how much sage I burn or infinity gems I get from Thanos I am never gonna get behind this book. It is bad, pretentious and the grammar is suspect.
22 years of waiting for Winter and I end up feeling embarrassed and confused
