I was completely engrossed in this charming story by Jeannie Wycherley. Full of quirky characters, wonderful places and a wealth of supernatural/ paranormal characters. I loved getting to know Alfhild Daemonne, aka The wonkiest Witch as she takes charge of her fathers estate and dealt with unknown forces, intent on driving her from Her Wonky Inn.
Alfhild has long been estranged from her recently deceased mother and turned her back on her magical roots. With the help of her inheritance, Alfhild decides to embrace the opportunity and breath life back into the inn. All of this is in spite of some unwelcome locals and a dead body.

Kim Bretton does an outstanding job with the narration and she made the story a real pleasure to listen to. Her pleasant voice, great characterisation and talent for bringing this wonderful story to life, made listening to The Wonkiest Witch so enjoyable.
Jeannie Wycherley has penned a wonderful story and Kim Bretton has given it a voice. I am keeping my fingers crossed that more of this series is made into audiobook format with Kim Bretton"s narration.

I really enjoyed the intense haunting and the various ways that contact was made during this well written paranormal romance. Many of these haunting events were frightening and some were downright horrifying. I cannot go into too many details of The Haunting of Hillwood Farm without giving spoilers but the story was an edge of the sea, nail biting one exciting one with a great ending.Ms James" narration was outstanding. There were many characters to voice and each voice was easily recognisable and showed the emotions of the characters.  The story was an intense one and this was reflected in the narration. The mixture of Kathryn Knight"s writing and Ms James" narration came together to produce a fabulous audiobook.

This is my second visit to the Trifles and Folly antique shop and I enjoyed it very much. I don"t like short stories but because of the flow it didn"t feel like short stories for me. I did prefer the first book in this series but this second book in the series is still a really good listen. With a wide variety of new adventures this second addition to the Trifles and Folly series.Amanda Roncini does another amazing job of giving life to Gail Z Martin"s wonderfully imaginative stories.

This is the second book in The Slayers Reverse Harem series and it picks up where Vampires Don"t Give Hickeys left off.
Ramping up the action, this instalment was high on fantasy horror and fear packed, tension. The graveyards terrifying prowlers are still out to take the slayer down.
Belle is offered the chance to learn things that could save her, but at the expense of one of her Vamps. They have shown her such security and support (not to mention intense passion.) You will have to read / listen to this to discover whether Belle can betray one of her loyal lovers to save herself.
Once again I cannot fault the narration by Melissa Schwairy. She maintained the high level of vocal acting, with the same distinct character voices and fabulous narration. I imagine that as a narrator, it must be hard to walk the fine line when doing intimate scenes, and boy, are there some steamy scenes, but as with Vampires Don"t Give Hickeys these scenes were sensual and flowed with the story.

I am always wary of reverse harem books but I read the synopsis and the title and thought I would give this one a go. I am so pleased that I did. Holly Ryan has given the series an intriguing start with Vampires Don"t Give Hickeys.

There is so much story and the intimacy seems to flow with the story. There is a really good plot and lovers of sexy Vampire / Slayer fantasy stories should give this one a go. Obviously as a reverse harem story there is plenty of lusty moments and to be blunt, they are sexy not sleazy.

It was a story that captured my attention from the first to last word and I am now going to listen to the second in series.

I cannot fault the narration by Melissa Schwairy it was so well voiced with distinct character voices and fabulous vocal acting, scene setting, and intensity. The sexy scenes sound sexy and flowed with the story.

Rating. Writing 4 / Narration 3.75 / Overall 3.75

This is an original story concept to me. Not entirely new, but definitely not one that I have read/ listened to a lot of. It is a police procedural, that includes people with paranormal abilities.

Victory was a likeable, interesting FBI agent, who is mourning the loss of her husband and has a close relationship with her college aged daughter, and a few colleagues.

Victory is investigating two apparent killers. One is a serial killer who has a cruel and unusual method of killing his victims. The other killer is making kills that appear to be impossible. For me this had so very much potential to be a great story with an epic finish.

I didn"t form any strong opinions on the other principal character, Derrick Lynn. He was an interesting character, with a fascinating story-line that was imperative to the story. I just felt that a little more knowledge about him could have made me care either way about his character.

I definitely got the great story but I was left feeling unsatisfied by the way the book finished. (This may be just me, and there are further books to come so there is a good chance that it may improve.)

I would still read/ listen to further books in this series and am interested to see what direction this book series takes.

Robin Siegerman did a good job with the narration, the characters had recognisably different voices and they were maintained throughout. Being completely honest, I feel the book could have benefited from the addition of a male narrator as I did find some of the male voices to be harsh in their tone and not pleasing to the ear.

I look forward to the next instalment in the assassin chronicles series.

Rating 3.75
Writing 3.75
Narration 3.75
This is book one in the Hunter Circles Series and it feels very much like scene setting. When the story first opens you are hit with a whole lot of information. Too much for me to take on board completely without having to replay the beginning. Having said that, this was a fast paced, intense and gripping, story with magical Demon hunters, pure evil and those that seem to fall somewhere in-between.
There is a prophecy and a prophesised, Krystin Blackwood, who is one of the main protagonists and powerful magically. Ben is the other lead character, he is a father looking for his child that was taken as a baby. If he doesn’t find him then there is a strong chance that he could be used for evil. (if he hasn’t already) Honestly that is all that I can tell you about the actual story without spoilers.
Shannon Condon did a good job with the narration, she had the intensity and urgency of situations expressed really well and maintain momentum throughout. Her voice was clear. and her speech concise. My criticism is that the voices of the character were not always clearly defined and caused confusion at times.
The Hunted ended on a cliffhanger, and while cliffhanger’s are annoying, I feel that the series has real potential to develop into a fantastic Urban Fantasy series and that Jessica Gunn has put as much as possible into this first book in the Hunter Circles Series. The Hunted has set the scene well and left the reader/ listener with plenty of questions that need answering and scope for more exciting action.
My reason for this particular rating was that for me, The Hunted and the narration felt higher than a 3.5 but fell shy of a 4 star rating.
I was given a review copy of The Hunted by Jessica Gunn and Audiobookworm, in exchange for my honest opinion.

When Jen joined the summer Study Abroad Programme, to travel on a cruise ship from country to country, the last thing that she could have imagined was that she would find out that she was a Witch – A Magic and that several other students on the ship were also Magic’s of varying types.

As the story develops the cruise takes a far more dangerous turn…

Elizabeth Kirke has woven a wonderful YA paranormal adventure. I don’t read or listen to many books in the YA genre but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Semester Aboard has all of the elements that make a paranormal adventure great!

I really liked all the main characters in this fabulous story. Each character was well developed and interesting. I like that the paranormal character each have their own unique aspects that I have not encountered before.

Starla Hutchton was a great fit as the voice actor on Semester Aboard. Starla’s character voices were easily recognisable and there is a lot of dialogue between the main 6 characters, so I feel that this is the sign of an exceptional voice actor. The voice’s also sounded age appropriate and really well suited to the individual characters. I found her easy to listen to and she was consistent throughout the whole story.

I am so looking forward to further audiobooks within this series.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book, which has also been released as several smaller books. The switch from boot to book was seamless and the characters penned by Harlow Thomas were interesting, with the main characters being well fleshed out. The world building was reasonably well done, but at times I felt a little confused about where things were taking place.
As is typical with reverse harem stories there is a lot of sex, it is quite explicit but that is to be expected with a reverse harem, so this is definitely an adults only book.
With plenty of twists and turns, suspense and action and an interesting plot this was an enjoyable listen.

Lacy Laurel’s narration was clear and pleasant to listen to and she maintained a good flow to her narration. I do feel this was more narration than voice acting and there is nothing wrong with that, in fact I preferred it for this book. It was always made clear by the writing who was talking and the intensity of situations. Sometimes with erotic audiobooks the narration can sound a little uncomfortable but Lacy narrated those scenes with the same easy to listen to reading style.

I received a copy of this book from Lacy Laurel and Audiobookworm. This is my honest review.

Wowzers! Nicola R White has completely impressed me for the second time! This book really couldn"t be more different than Man"s Ruin yet it has an author in common and she is an incredible talent!

I absolutely loved this brilliantly, well written, paranormal romance that started out crazy wild and maintained that level of surprise and intensity throughout. The characters are outstanding and all so well developed and each is interesting in their own way.

I don"t want to give any more away than you can glean from the synopsis because this book really deserves to deliver every punch that it packs. With shocks, surprises and Tara"s fabulous dry sarcasm in the face of everything she has to face, this audiobook really is the gift that keeps giving!

Elizabeth Tebb is an outstanding voice actor. While maintaining individual and recognisable voices that suited each character, Elizabeth draws us into the excitement of the story that Nicola has written. She brings attitude, intensity and completely drew me into this brilliant story.

I truly did not want this audiobook to end and I hope that Audible don"t hang around and that the rest of this series is available a.s.a.p! I will be the first in the queue when they become available.
